congrats shail619 and porkey…
btw, i couldn’t understand what comfy said… isn’t it better if a college gives financial aid need-based rather than need-blind…giving need-based aid means that they will give aid to those who need…i.e. us we poor kids from nepal…
so, as far as i know … a college is best if it has need-blind admission(admission not depending on our financial aid document) and need-based financial aid (financial aid to match our need)

many rich collo are not need-blind e.g. stanford, swat, grinnell, etc… maybe b/c they want some rich kids or are focusing on merits rather than poor.or mabye tryin to reduce intel applicants or maybe somin’ else

and abt IUB yes they impose lots of loans, im expecting abt 15k euro loan lol

What I meant was it’s a need blind school, so it’ll probably meet all your needs and I didn’t say it’s admission was need blind and it’s financial aid was something else. And another thing, I haven’t heard of colleges giving need blind financial aid to students. May be merit based scholarships but financial aid is always need based. And, whatever we discuss here is futile because Shailesh’s the one who’s getting it.

Fee waiver is not a big deal. They’ll accept it if they get it in any ways. I think it is ridiculous that we need fee waivers even when we cannot pay more than 1000 bucks/year. The college should have a policy for waiving fee for candidates with low incomes.

issac newton, for AP exams i think there is a standard price everywhere…
last year when i took it, the price was 85 dollars per subject…
and the conversion is like this 1 Indian Currency= 1.6 Nepali Currency which the government tries to keep constant at all time…
