Class of 2011 RD OFFICIAL THREAD

anyway, do you think I should email and ask them about my finaid?

I’m in Hong Kong…havent heard anything!!..does that mean Im rejected??

@janette Don’t worry. I haven’t heard anything either but I think they sent our decisions via snail mail. They only send e-mails to int. applicants from certain countries.

^ How do you know that? I haven’t gotten anything, either.

armadillozrawk07- I really like everything about haverford except the size, but then again Villanova, and Byrn Mawr are right nearby. I really can’t choose.

Are there any other US students who haven’t heard yet? The other two kids who applied from my d’s school got their letters yesterday; at our house, today, nada. She’s going nuts (and so am I!).

Just got the packet this afternoon (in Kentucky)!

Other Factors:
General Comments/Congratulations/etc: Congrats to all of you who who got accepted. Vassar wasn’t one of my top schools of choice so I’m not too crushed by my rejection.

Who has Vassar in here as his or her first choice? I need some reassurance because I’m upset that I didn’t get into Ivies… :(

Hi showtunesguy… although Vassar isn’t my first choice, I’m probably going to go there. I’m still waiting on Amherst College; however, I’d say its pretty unlikely I’ll get in (I’ve already been rejected by Swarthmore and Penn so things don’t look good). No worries, you’re not the only one on here who might be at Vassar next year :-)

Hey showtunesguy89 and littleathiest, I applied to Brown, Harvard, Vassar, Amherst, Stanford, The College of William and Mary and UT Austin. I got rejections from both Harvard and Brown today (this Brown rejection was after a deferral from ED in December). I still haven’t heard from any of my other schools, and I really don’t want to go to UT Austin, even though it has a pretty good reputation. So, right now, I am slightly nervous. Vassar would be so wonderful, but I don’t know their decision yet. Hmmm… don’t feel bad showtunesguy89 about the Ivies. I’m learning more and more that I put too much faith in this process. I really hope everything works out for both of y’all, though, and everyone for that matter.

@ foodaholic, thanks so much!
