Congratulations to those who have received appointments and accepted. The next few months will be filled with many things to do before Report In.
The 2011 Parents Handbook and Cadet handbook on the CGA Parent website are most helpful. Although there may be changes for your class they are pretty much the same from year to year. I encourage you to go to the parent website at: http://www.uscgaparents.org
There is so much information regarding what to expect for Report In day.
When it is available (usually near the end of May) I encourage you to join the 2012 list which is on the home page. This is a parent email list that will answer questions and provide information to you.

Again - best of luck. You are joining a wonderful group that have decided the “regular” college is not what they want to do. You will work hard - physically, academically, and emotionally but graduate as a mature, well rounded individual!

My cadet graduates this year and that is exciting too. BUT I remember what you are going through at this time so please ask questions, listen and make a wise decision as to where you should be next year!!!

Good luck!
