and purushottam: I dont know about ED, but many are applying to reed, grinnell, lehigh and brandeis.

purshottam, ED 2 in Trinity …or just RD?

Rena, one from bnks has already been accepted to reed.
And one rejection for lehigh so far.
Are u applying to any amomg that i have mentioned.

1 thing ??? Gettysburg college only gave Fin Aid to 30 odd “international” students, purshottam its quite interesting how Gettysburg will become JUB of next year…as you know what I mean…“30 odd” and 3 of them are already selected

Well kushal, rd to trinity. U too?

Yeah maybe kushal u r right. Not exactly jacobs but could be like on almost everyone’s list just as jacobs is nearly on everyone’s list.

hi puru
sorry if i am a bit late
just took a bit more time getting over that deferral mail
welcome to the discussion.

ED 2…Where
Can anyone suggest where I can apply under ED 2
Stats…
The Good part :
ECAs …One of the best…ranging from a to z “Literally”
Recos… well since they reflect ECs and characte…they should be great
Work experience…teaching in a reputed school
Essay… I believe its a good one , though I don’t dare sharing it
SAT 1450(composite)

The Bad Part
GPA 3.0
Class rank Top 15% only
SAT 2 (not given)

Any “critical” responses are most welcome

kushalpurie: are you an I Sc student?
and your good parts will certainly help you to get in.
about suggestion: i dont know.

purushottam: One got accepted to reed already? Every college in my list has almost become a risk. Yes i am applying Rd to 4 colleges in your pre-mentioned list. Tough competition ahead and still not very sure how my essays are! Seems that they have grown too emotional now.

kushalpurie
perhaps kenyon would be a good one for ed2
as they value the personal essay and the supplements pretty much
they dont require sat writing or any sat 2s

rena-itsme
ya a current A2 student from BNks has got accepted to reed.
however if you look through the pattern of acceptances into reed
they usually have two from nepal;one from bnks(usually)and the other one from other institutions;never 2 from bnks though.
so you might still keep reed as a hopeful choice.

I am rather I was an I. Sc. student.

Thanks pratik.
And for reed this time it’ll be a history with 2 acceptances from bnks. Haha. Who knows. This college admission process is so unpredictable.

la la puru
reed ma best of luck
and same for all your other colleges
create history!!!

hmm…anyone applying ED2 to Carleton? And heard that Ajen Das from St Xavier’s got into Connecticut? Does anyone think that there’s a chance they’ll take another one?

And purushottam: I’m applying to Grinnell, Duke, and a few others from your list, I think.
My stats aren’t as good as yours:
SAT I: 2020/2400
SAT II: Bio: 770, English Lit: 720
TOEFL: 667/677
Straight As, plus a little extra
Not too many extra curriculars but a TON of work experience, almost a year at a very very good place, with a great recommendation and portfolio.
Top 10% of Class

yeahh
Ajjen Das Joshi did get in to Connecticut
His stats were
GPA 4.0 (the only one with a GPA of 4.0)
SAT 1 1570 (composite: Maths 800, CR 770)
SAT 2 2400(all 800s)
Extra-curriculars very impressive
Essay even better
Recos. The best
since Connecticut selected Ajjen Das, I think it is very difficult to select others, as others cannot simply match his statistics

hey guys and gals, share your ED2 college now. We don’t want to apply to the same college.

seems some of you are still not having your ed1 decision confirmed. how is that so???

exist-you are b.p. ain’t you???
how’r you???
and wat happened to nepali69???
