<p>Just a word of caution. If your essay is really bad, colleges that even ‘consider’ it might not take you. After W&L is a LAC, writing is important. If you write crapshoot essays, good luck :p</p>

<p>Rena… Nothing is bad about colgate. Just too famous among international students and hence highly competitive.</p>
<p>And do not believe in college profile in collegboard; specially what they put in ‘considered’, ‘important’ or ‘very important factors’ part. Sometime even aid policy and deadlines are incorrectly put there.</p>

I would think that Bates would be a better choice for ED 2 than Colby, as Bates as Bocca just said “is better” than Colby. seniors also say that Colby puts more importance on SAT scores(in contrast to what they metion in their website), the avg. CR score is 680-740!!, and since you are very “active” BATES would be much better than Colby.</p>
