Class of 2012

ciao, guys…i am calling night for today…i’ll see the decisions tomorrow…

sweet dreams…best of luck for your decisions… :)

tnx…
…

1 hour to Tufts
3 hours to Ivy League

right?

Yeah. Good luck, Rister!

Good luck to you, too!

daughter son
my daughter my son
D
S

^What do you mean?

Nothing. I was just wondering about something. All the posts I’ve seen from posters who are parents go something like “my D applied here, my S applied there”, so I was just wondering whether they themselves type D or S (which is weird), or whether CC substitutes daughter and son with D and S.

Apparently not. Weird.

LOL!

10 char

:D  i had to read your post twice to actually get it :)

I actually never thought about that it could be a substitute… pretty creative i must say :)

ok, i’ll watch some TV now… I don’t want to be around the computer when Tufts decision comes so near.

edit: uh, two house md episodes are almost completely downloaded so i’ll just fill my Boston University travel mug with coffee and be right back

Hehe. For some reason I get irritated everytime I see D and S so I thought I’d just check it out for myself.

House is awesome! Sarcastic humor ftw

I’d say that writing D and S is pretty efficient and easy method of writing daughter and son.
Just for the record:
DD: dear daughter.
DS: dear son.

Efficient, wouldn’t you say? so many letters condensed into one or two.:D

I just never think of parents as “tech-savvy” enough to ALL be following this D and S “phenomenon” :stuck_out_tongue: There must be something more to it. Perhaps a forum rule.

I read a lot of posts in the parents’ forum and consider myself qualified enough to say that its usually the regular posters who use these acronyms. Newbies generally use the full forms.
Parents not “tech-savvy” enough, now that is a gross generalization. Mine aren’t :D, and maybe yours aren’t, but it is unfair to put them all in the same category.:p

Notice the “to ALL” in my post.

Ok anyway. You must be right.

^ well nor are mine

they would never come on such a forum- i once told my mom, during the beginning of the admissions process to come to this forum- she looked at me like i was crazy!

Ah well i like it this way- they trust everything i do and let me do whatever i wanted in the process.
freedom is always nice.

I got rejected from Tufts :(

oh no :frowning: thats sad

No problem! Its fine really.

i feel really bad for you poly- forget it - everything happens for a reason and you’ll be happy wherever you end up at.
