Welcome. :)

Found him?

Welcome. :)

Found him?

I think so :D

So whats up?

Hello (whoever is online now)!

Hello!!!
Of course I am

Hey Shru! ![]()
What’s up?

hey poly! i was away for the past two days! WASSUP?

Hey Shreya! I’m going to Ann Arbor, in case you missed that :)

What’s up your side?

hey you switched again!

What made you do that?

Nothing is up here - i can’t make up my mind yet!

LOL! Yeah! Very whimsical, no? Haha :D

Michigan has lots more academic & research opportunities than Emory. Even if I change my mind about my major, I will still be transferring to a top notch department because Michigan is really strong in everything!
Ann Arbor is a wonderful city and is liberal, safe and has lots to do. Very much a college oriented town.
Michigan is a very big school and being an introvert, it would be a nice challenge ![]()
Also, Michigan students are really friendly, liberal and open minded unlike those at Emory.

Phew :D

i know the prsense of cliches at emory is turning me down too- but well the weather makes me think again.

Congratulations Shreya, Shruthi, Rister, Poly and others on being admitted to great universities! You guy have developed a great sense of camaraderie. Nice to see that.

I also applied to some competitive colleges but I was rejected at most of them. I think it was primarily because of aid. If you people don’t mind, can you please tell me the financial aid you have been awarded by the universities you have been admitted and the total cost of attendance?

By the way, I am intending to go to Trinity University. Its engineering program is not so good but I have got no choice. (FA = $29,000 and Cost of attendance = $38,000)

Trinity is a good place. Congrats!

@shreya: Is the weather really turning you off that much?

Faizan- i know that Ajay was asking for full aid and it was met at Colgate university.
I was asking for full aid as an American citizen which was met too at a number of colleges.
Then Danielcarp was asking for full aid and that was met at Grinnell.

Don’t get discouraged- you can transfer next year!

Tetris- you live in chennai - you don’t understand cold. Kanpur’s low is 0 degree celsius and i hate it. Minnesota low is -15 degree celcius!

Eeks, that’s COLD! OTOH, I once nearly died due to frigidity in Scotland…

Hey shreya, did u say u had asked CMU to DHL ur decisions? Which website did u fill that form at? and did u hear from them yet?

yes- i didn’t pay for them to DHL me- it was a from in the initial application recieved package they sent me.

Decisions are available online on the status check site- i was waitlisted.

Whats up now?

Lol. I understand what you mean when you say that Chennai isnt really harsh. Its only hot, hotter and hottest here. I used to live in Delhi, and that by itself was a huge difference. I cant imagine how Boston, or Austin would be.
(I am looking forward to it!)

@Faizan: Thanks
I wasnt awarded aid as such. Got a couple of scholarships, but my full requirement wasnt really met because of the EFC and stuff.

@shreya: oh–the problem is i haven’t got the initial application received package yet–think it has been lost on the way here, so I can’t access my application status online…
