<p>admitted to USC and the film school there! It’s been a week, and I still can’t believe it…</p>
<p>wow congrats awelex! did you get a scholarship too?</p>
<p>Unfortunately not, which is why I don’t know yet if I will go. My parents are very supportive, though.
The alternative would be computer science at the ETH ;)</p>
<p>Haha, I think we both know that the ETH girls don’t even come CLOSE to USC chicks ;)</p>
<p>Seriously, I know it’s a really hard decision. US colleges are so expensive compared to ETH, Uni ZH, etc. </p>
<p>My parents are very supportive too, even though I’m almost a bit ashamed to ask them for so much money. But they are thrilled that iIwas accepted to some great US colleges so I think I’ll go there.
In the words of Benjamin Franklin, the founder of my soon-to-be-alma mater:</p>

But the fact that I have to demand that much money of my parents is something that really pains me, especially since USC gives no finaid to internationals whatsoever. Crap.</p>
