Personal satisfaction.

OK. Hey S33D, tell me a bit more about Mt. Allison - their dorms sure sound awesome, at the very least! I don’t even know where it is!

I’m curious too :)

@poly: How come you aren’t writing the JEE?

Because I never had any plans to go to India. I didn’t register for any entrance exams.
Heck, even the thought of registering for the JEE is too daunting!

Lol I don’t even know what entrance exams are given here apart from the JEE (talk about being in a bubble ;)).

What’s your prospective major?

Haha!

My prospective major? I am still sort of undecided. I applied to Michigan’s Environment major but it can change to Biology/Economics/Liberal Arts/who knows what else!

There’s a major called liberal arts?

Of course not…my bad. I meant the whole spectrum.

I should’ve figured.

Anyway, it’s not like Michigan has a dearth of options, so you definitely aren’t complaining about the width of the spectrum. :)

No I’m not :)

I dunno what I’m gonna major in either, so I’m gonna take the usual maths and physics courses + psych and econ for sure :s

S33D, tell us about Mt. Allison!

Hmm… well it’s considered pretty prestigious in Canada for undergrad… it’s in a town called Sackville… that’s in eastern Canada… around 1 and a half hours from Boston by plane (where I’ll be spending christmas…got relatives there) … the uni just feels kinda right to me, and since I’m definitely going to grad school I really don’t care about prestige… whoever I’ve talked to about it didn’t seem to have any complaints (current students, ppl in canada etc), the campus is awesome, dorms are kickass … it’s academically also very strong and highly ranked by Macleans (national magazine of canada) + 47 Rhodes Scholars till now
almost 1 every year for a while… Williams has 37…

I didn’t have much choice anyway (Purdue, Madison or Mt Allison), and IMHO MTA clearly wins out for undergrad, atleast for someone who is going on to grad school…

Wiki ftw [Mount Allison University - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](Mount Allison University - Wikipedia)

Niiiiiice! :D

oh yeah, I will be getting sophomore status, so I can either graduate in 3 years or Hons+double major in 4… I can’t wait for September zzzz…

btw how many other people are going to a colder place? can’t wait for snow, come november :D

Oh double nice!

What are you guys upto anyway nowadays… other than those prepping for the indian entrance exams…

I’ve got finals from the 5th… bleh… high school is finally getting over though :D

I’m looking into majoring in astrophysics more and more nowadays… I wonder if that is even possible at undergrad? I am studying first-year university level astrophysics for my IB Physics exam, and its awesome!

Super sweet! :D

I’m supposed to study for the SAT over the summer (taking it in June).
