I was a psychology major once…

Hmm I shall not attempt any more…

i wonder if this is a running gag, ajay. maybe they come up with a new major for this guy in every episode or something ;)

what exactly was that supposed to mean, poly?!
i really had a carnivorous plant once

You had a carnivorous plant, eh? hmm…

You know, I really don’t know what to believe around here anymore.

i did! I swear. I don’t know the English name for it though. maybe something like “Venus Trap”? (that’s the exact translation of the German name)

here’s a pic: http://www.photocase.de/de/upload/06/qivfcf0p/photocase683595873.jpg

i fed it with flies but i think i killed it because i fed her like 5 flies/day…you can buy them here for about 10$

edit: LOL i just noticed that i referred to this plant as a ‘she’
(“i fed her”)
haha, that’s because plant is a feminine word in German…I didn’t gave IT a name or something, don’t worry ;)

so you actually caught five flies everyday to feed it or could you buy them too?

And definitely Cap is the perfect term for tetris!

I just uploaded the new edition of norton and spybot and my compter had 12 viruses and 43 spybots…no wonder it wasn’t working…

Venus flytrap; I’ve heard of it :).

@shreya: Not you too!!!

Get this thing called Adaware…it’s very good for preventing adware.

nothing can beat my laptop when it comes to trojans haha.

Hey… has anyone gone to the consulate for his/her visa? What questions do they ask during the visa interview?.. Mine is tomorrow…

shreya, i had to catch them. (pretty easy if you have enough marmalade)

^^Oh I just happened to collect my passport with the visa today, had the interview 2 days ago… Hmm it wasn’t like an interview, more like a very short friendly convo. Asked me which other unis I got accepted at, why I choose my uni, and of course, your financial status if you are paying on your own. After 4-5 minutes, he just said, “Okay, I’ve approved your visa. big grin Thanks and good luck!”

Haha. :D

Sounds great! Congratulations!

lisieux, so the interview itself is only a couple of minutes, although we have to be at the embassy for 2-3 hours?.. there’s nothing that I have to prepare other than bringing all the documents?

Oh, the irony of it all…:)

We studied about Venus flytrap in our biology classes. The leaves have winged petiole and bilobed leaf blade. The upper surface of each lobe bears three sensitive trigger hairs and no, of digestive glands. When insects land on the sensitive hairs, the two lobes fold such that the teeth at its margin interlock and the insect is trapped. Then, the dead insect is digested by the digestive enzymes.

Quite scary for a plant! What if trees as such existed? I heard there are some carnivorous trees in Amazon Rain forest. A gr8 place for Biology majors to enjoy the summer :D

Hehe yeah I’d love that. :)

haha poly goes Amazon Rain forest ![]()
most of those trees probably haven’t had Indian yet…i’m sure they’re gonna love you!

I was given a warning letter for the drop in marks. I am not complaining :)

wow didn’t they get your marks only yesterday? pretty fast uh.

i’m happy for you, all roads are clear now, right?
