Class of 2012

Hey there, whats up?

nothin much. Jux watchin MIT’s graduation live online. :)

Do all MITians use chat lingo while conversing online? :p

What is the score?! Tennis, I mean.

ajayc, another weird question. I’ll say yes, coz u very nearly became an MITian. So yes, n stop bashin us lyk dat BTW :D

hahaha

I became a MITian nearly? Whaddya mean?

nvm, got the score. I HATE Nadal even more now.

Novak’s game was so flat today. Poor guy :(.

Yeah I know…I went to a mall and watched half of it with an equally tennis crazy friend haha.

He didn’t seem to be in his element.

Yeah, he wasn’t exuding confidence like he usually does. Sad. Anyway, the rest of the year is there :).

Yes :)

Looks like Nadal again for sure…this is getting boring.

Haha…as predicted Nadal goes to the Final. Now, Nadal v Federer. And, since it is French open and the CLAY COURT, Nadal will come up once again. Why don’t they switch the type of court this once?

lol…guys read the sympathies from our ladies here. You gals make Novac’s day bright. :D

:p .

;) …haha

Tetris i was thinking…and i can’t think of any safeties for you that are good in IR/IS…sorry, maybe you should ask in another board. my safety was the University of Geneva in Switzerland (Geneva would have been an awesome place to study IR, but Swiss univs suck at the undergrad level. maybe i’ll go there for my MA though) so i was never really looking at schools that could be considered as a real safety.

Ya, I remember. there is International University of Geneva that has a very good program in International Relations. Actually, it offers only two majors, but the program is quite rigorous.

Rister, how many credit hours wll you complete when you graduate from Penn? If I graduate in BA in International Studies at UNO, I’ll have 128 credit hours (I m thinking about doube concentrations and a major, so it would lead to around 170-75 hrs)

I believe the credsit hours are very important when you apply to grad school.

nahhh…

International University of Geneva = private, American curriculum, English speaking, ex*****ve, crappy. Schools like this are made for rich American kids who want to brag about “studying abroad”.

Universit

haha, ‘the expensive’ thing is quite funny. I had read about that IU in Geneva, and it had been mentioned as rigorous. And, when I compared its course with some American Unis in US, it was very good covering almost all and some more topics about Intl issues. So, I thought it as a good academic institution. But, you’re from there, rister, so u have more info abt it than me.

I think the credit units in the Huntsman program can be computed in terms of credit hours. As far as I heard, but I am not sure, credit hours show how rigorously you have been participating in your curriculum. and, gpa shows how you’ve been doing. To put it simple,

credit hours/units = quantitative measurement of your undergrad academic accomplishment

gpa = qualitative measurement of your undergrad academic accomplishment

If anyone of you know more about these, please post.

Rister, OK. I’ll do some scrounging on my own too.
