Class of 2012

<p>congrats</p>

<p>testing something</p>

<p>thanks, S33D. It was quite easier than I had thought.</p>

<p>so what did they ask u, jasonshah?</p>

<p>jasonshah: yeah, my mom kicked me out of the house (in a good way) long time ago. But yeah I learned a lot man. Haha you’ll be experiencing it soon! Quite exciting really. :D</p>

<p>Congrats on the visa btw! And I don’t understand why everyone seems to be so anxious over it?? When I applied for mine, I didn’t prepare for the interview or anything… Was I being too ignorant?</p>

<p>maybe you were. :p</p>

<p>Well, I don’t know, haven’t heard anyone who’s rejected right? Haha. And considering that my visa interview only took 3 minutes… It still seems to me that it isn’t that big a deal. :/</p>

<p>I just hope mine will take even less time- 3 mins is a bit too long. lol.</p>

<p>Hahahah. No 3 mins is very fast! Chill, this is not college/job interview. :D</p>

<p>The average time is 2 mins. 3 mins is too long.:D</p>

<p>I bet that’s what she said last night too</p>

<p>-_-"</p>

<p>France vs Italy just kicked off!!!</p>

<p>my interview lasted less than a minute.</p>

<p>My interview will probably be in the second week of July. I’m surprisingly chill about it (could be because I’ve been pushing it out of my head). I SHOULD be worrying my head off about it though, since it’s pretty unpredictable here. My friend’s brother was rejected for the visa even though he’d received a full scholarship from MIT. >_<</p>

<p>Thanks for the welcome messages, btw! I don’t check in for a few days and already the thread has advanced 3/4 pages. Whoa.</p>

<p>sammyone, my interview was as follows: (as far as I remember). The waiting sucked. I waited around 1 hr for my interview)</p>

<p>Me: Hello. Good morning, mam.
counselor: morning? How are you, Jason?
Me: Fine, Mam.
counselor: ok, so u r going to University of New Orleans. How many colleges did you apply?
Me: 15 - 18
counselor: (looks at me) how many colleges did you apply? (I think she was surprised that I applied to that many colls. haha)
Me: 12 (I improvised)
she: and, in how many were u accepted?
me: 6
she: 50%. That’s great result. Ur major is peculiar (Bachelor of General studies, Liberal Arts and Sciences). What do you want to do in future?
me: I am not sure as of today. I have electic interests in academics. I want to explore different academic disciplines before I make my career choice.
she: that’s good logic.
me: I chose UNO for academic, social and financial reasons…blah…(She laughed. She must have thought that I was trying to convince her to give me the visa .)
she: ok, jason. u r an oustanding student. We are glad that you chose USA for your studies. Come by 1:00 today to deposit $200. You’ll get ur visa tomorrow at 11:00 am.
me: thank you, mam.
she: what’s this? (I had also included the yearbook of my high school with my profile. I had worked as a designer)
me: my high school’s yearbook.
she: it’s a good book.
me: thank you, mam.
she: good luck. (and she gave me the green card)</p>

<p>haha, much easier than I had thought.</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>sand, that’s the understatement of the year. When all are in the mood, the thread advances 6-7 pages a day!!!</p>

<p>lol this sets the record for the longest forum thread even</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>How could anyone not have noticed this exchange!! S33D, that was pretty effing brills. :D</p>

<p>My ISO starts on the 22nd and I’m leaving for the US on the same day :)</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>lol, your mom ah? mine was my dad :stuck_out_tongue: haha jk. i kicked myself out.</p>

<p>

</p>

<p>How could I have missed that???
THANK YOU, lv, THANK YOU for pointing that out!!!
And I agree, that was hilarious S33D. :smiley: =D</p>

<p>I leave on the 26th (the same day as ISO starts =P)</p>

<p>haha. i also can’t believe I missed that.</p>

<p>ROFL.</p>

<p>BTW, Rister and ajay, I was desperately in need of a new TV show so I started watching Greek. I must say, it’s mindless, drama-filled, and entertaining…I like it! :D</p>
