Class of 2012

me a member too> how are you guys?

OK then, hey bored squad :p.

Shreya, it’s been a while! How are you these days?

i wish i could go to college now and come back 3 months later but alas- that can’t be. i am falling more and more in love with my college.

how are you? busy with school and stuff? huh

Oh, I’d be raring to go if I was gonna attend Carleton as well! :D

Yep, I’m busy out here. I have soccer practice twice a week, tennis about 5 days a week, exams are going on, MUN preparations will begin soon, and I have another environmental thingy coming up.

But, to plagiarize from McDonalds, I’m loving it! (it=everything except exams :D)

wow you are one busy person- regarding Carleton- i sure hope that you have Carleton on your college list- its seriously amazing how much the college cares about its students- i haven’t even reached there and i feel it- especially international students- since its such a small student body - every student is very important to them - plus they send Brilliant fedexes once you get in.
They have like these four fedex that they mail you from when you get accepted to when you go to college- and its one of my life’s high_est points opening them.

Don’t worry, I will definitely apply to Carleton :)

people!!! the thread was on the 3rd page…
Had my visa interview today
I had to wait for about 2 hours before my name finally was called…but the “interview” was pretty sweet:

Consular: So Mr. Rister, why do you want to go to the US?
Rister: To study.
Consular: [skimming through my forms] Where do you want to study?
Rister: Univ…
Consular: Ah, here it is…UPenn! Lucky you!
Rister: Thank you
Consular: Tell me something about your program.
Rister: It’s a dual-degree program! I’ll get two degrees: a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Penn’s College of Arts and Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Wharton.
Consular: That sounds terrific. Of course I approve your visa, good luck with your studies.
Rister: Thank you very much.

=D

Awesome! :)

gr8 rister. congrats…IS degree from Upenn and Business degree from Wharton!!! who could possibly reject such an applicant.

My interview was a similar one. I forgot the exact sequence of events, but these questions stand out:
1.Which college are you going to?
2.You got 51,000 dollar scholarship?
3. Wow! Is this your SAT score? Wow!

Of course, these were the only questions I was asked.

hahaha skunk
i love #2 and #3 :D

Fantastic. And hilarious :D.

congrats!!!

Hey everyone!..

Not like you’re gonna get rejected though :D

yay i got my passport back (with the visa :D)

but it says expiration date is july 2013…?! shouldn’t it be 2012? or did the consular realize that i’m never gonna graduate penn in four years? :D

OPT.

Ooh, an omen for the future :p!

Please note the sarcasm. I’m a total disbeliever in superstition and omens and all that stuff.
