Hola yaar… I haven’t found many applying there

@ I will be in IB: nothing sort of a quarrel…euta stupid person le yako harmony disrupt garna khojirathyo…his all posts have been deleted including his account itself…so lets get back to work!..ani you talked about high competitions in colleges like F&M, trinity…you know for strong candidate it might be an advantage coz ad com will see how much he is better than his counterparts from the same place…ani they cant just throw all 100 or more applications in bin…they will take in at least a couple of them…so dont worry even if you apply to any of the “famous” college…you might actually get in one of them.

dhl costs 2255 if the address is of educational institute
so for us its 2255 else 4510

Aren’t you guys sending apps online? Do the recommendation and ECA stuffs weigh so much?

^^ how much did ur application weigh??

mine abt 330gm (I sent my application online)

well I haven’t weighed yet. I’m planning to send then after christmas.

i m still confused for my ED2…
i have mailed connecticut college…after its reply…i will decide whether it will be connecticut college or gettysburg

registered mail is just a waste of money. and it takes a lot longer. better go for regular mail.

Does anyone knows if including CDs in our application will cost more if we send by EMS or registered mail? (because they cost around 500 rs more by dhl/fedex) and could you please state the prices (including CDs)

how shud dat cost more?? they will be inside ur application packet so i dont thnk anyone can find it…

@skunk
and how is registered mail slower than regular mail? i didn get it

^^in the case of registered mail, on every transit they will register the arrival of your mail. While in regular, they will not do so. As far as I know, it might take 4-5 days more in registerd mail during the process…that is around 20 days…while in regular it will take around 15 days to reach the destination.

@rmaharjan
but we need to tell them that we have cds, its for the safeties of the cds. if we just put them in our application then our application will be sent in a paper only pile, but if we choose the cd-option then they have a different packaging to protect the cds.

is it true that application packets gets lost??? LOST???
that will be a huge problem…

this is one of the reasons i chose registered…i heard its safer…
what are u guys gonna do?

no… the guy said it’ll reach in 12 dayz (registered mail)

application packets do get lost…
but registered mail take longer than 12 days as far as i know

our resume should be compact re may be one page only is that true?

hey guys this is gettin scary…what do we do if they do get lost? any option we have??

I was wondering if someone could help me figure out the right St. Johns college/university. There are many. I want to kno which is most generous. And does the NY uni give aid? And i heard that the curriculum is like super intense at St Johns(but i dont kno which one). HELP! please! I m tooo confused!

@everyone
watever the consequence be, i wud go for registered mail-after all-all deadlines are postmarked-it doesn’t matter that if your application reaches 4 or 5 days later than unregistered.But it’s safe one.If it gets lost on the way or damaged,then it can be a proof to present to the university that u had send the application but it didn’t reach on time.So admin may think that it’s not ur fault,that u r n’t going to do it late by urself-so they can consider u late application even after deadlines too.

St.John’s University,Minnesota ko hola -ya that’s good one -but common app member hoina bhanne suneko pani thiye but i m not sure.Other include St.John’ College,Santa Fe -this is the one that has its own syllabus-more literary ,more critical and more complex one -but this university is very very fine -its placements are very good as written in websites.Less nepali students apply there due to its own curricula and we have trend of looking into ranks only-so we avoid it.But this is the best-i am thinking to apply there.

“Both have generous aids and scholarships …-either u r rejected directly or first deferred and then rejected within few days- … -in addition to u have summer -tyasma kamayeko more than 50 % sum summer expenses,health insurance,books,research papers … which wud cost around 3000$-so ur cost wud be 17000$/year.—source”

@mosti
resume compact … -if u have more and more details and more experiences then how can u make it compact on one page.
After all resume serves as a proof for your achievements-if u send your resume u need not to send any of your works-like attested photocopy of your certificates and volunteering jobs etc etc…
