Class of 2013

Hi All- Jeff Schiffman, Associate Director here. Just wanted to give you all a little sneak peak as to what the class of 2013 is looking like now that the May 1st deadline has passed. Hope everyone out there in the CC world is breathing a sigh of relief and I hope all of you have found some wonderful choices for you and your family this fall. We here at Tulane could not be happier with the class of 2013. Our target was 1,500 first year students, and as of today we are at 1540, so we are right over our goal. This number will go up and down over the next few months as we enroll a few more of our student athletes or lose some students to wait lists at other schools or students who choose to take a gap year. The Admission Office is thrilled to welcome our new class. Here is a little snapshot:
The class of 2013…

I can’t wait to have them on campus this fall. Welcome to the class of 2013!

Thanks so much Jeff. My son is so excited to have some details about his class, and can’t wait to find a room mate.

Thank you, Jeff. My son and I really enjoyed reading this information.

Glad to hear CA is one of the top 5 states represented for 2013.
Still hoping for direct flight(s) from Bay Area to MSY :)

hi, do you think this means the chances of coming off the waitlist now are slim?
:/

They would seem pretty slim. Housing is pretty full, from what I have heard.

Hi Jeff, thanks for the info! Any idea as to the percentage accepted this year? Or median SAT ranges? Just curious…

They probably will not release that information until the class of 2013 is finalized, though I would expect improvements in all aspects.
