Class of 2014 From Nepal

@all

so that means harvey isn’t so nice for business and humanities?
and can u guys suggest some business and humanities colgs and universities?

–Why are only a few of you applying to universities? Don’t these national unis give proper aid?

^^

I have not found any state unis that gives as much aid as I want. (i.e. almost a free ride XD)

and yes, HM is well-known for engineering and is heavily concentrated in that field. You can study bussiness/humanities, but one way or the other, you end up being a semi-physics major…

For Business, I would recommend one of the Ivy Plus Schools

For humanities, a good ranked LA College should do well.

and BTW… Caltech has bought MIT :P

[Caltech East Campus](http://east.caltech.edu)

@united academy
If u want to go pure business in undergrad itself, LAC’s might not be a good option…though there are some with a business major (i think f and m has one, they call it business, organization and society, whatever that is and so does randolph college)…universities would be awesome for business…but the main thing is…VERY VERY FEW universities offer aid for business school…n even if they do, the aid isnt good enough…bentley for example, is an awesome business school but dont expect to pay less than 25- 30k a year there!!!..check out wake forest too…but i guess the aid isnt good there as well…u want good aid and a good business school, go ivy!!..WHARTON (UPENN)!!!

ani i think i saw someone mention bennington as ‘safety’…haha…u people must be really ‘khatraaa’!!!

national unis are BIG. That’s the reason i don’t like them.

so bennington’s not a safety…haha…my bad!

When I consider decisions, I wish Dec 15 could come soon, but looking at the pile of supplements left to be done, I wish not…:(

So then, who’s applying Swarthmore ED? They don’t even accept CDs for the supplements…:frowning: :(

ahh!! supplements!!! damn!!! haven’t touched a thing yet!!! i’m soo going down!!! :frowning: :(

Ya ya…you are going down…what about me?? Going Up?? And, congrates for ur 1st acceptance, though u wont be going there :stuck_out_tongue: :p. I got 2 acceptances…but rejected the offers…both pay 15k…i think these colleges want us to rob the central bank itself…lol. And, if u wanna apply to the colleges which do not clash with mine, i can help u with my maths supplement and essays…lol…as if my essays are better than those of yours. 3 colleges’ supplements left…added Bowdoin…to collect more rejections…haha. Waiting from Trincoll desperately…lets see this week…i will be having 2 decisions this week, i guess.

@duke
isn’t it time to get the Amherst decision? I hope u get in…send me the PM as soon as u get the decision.

@lafa applicants
if u have completed (received date) the app by Nov 10, u will get the decision within a couple of days. And, just be sure to get the date on which ur app was complete, because u will get the decision after a month (nearly) of that date.

@providence college applicants
if you have you cgpa 3.75 and sat composite 1200 or more and timely application,it is a guaranteed admission but no aids-you have to pay at least around 9 to 12k per year -and american life,study and work is not as easy and sweet as here goes in this text-based online forum …hope you understand

@engineering applicants
go for good national universities.after all ,however low ranked be the national university,it is always in the eye of good alumni network,graduate schools and reputations-as far as i experienced here ,i noticed that american students/people don’t know much about liberal arts college except the highly competitive one.
Gettysburg,dickinson,bennington,muhlenberg,st john’s,whitman,sarah lawrence are good colleges but you won’t expect their reputation out of states -

@business majors
go for national universities like brigham young university(one of my fren said it is ranked 3rd in accounting,12 in mba and undergraduate business),also franklin and marshall is so good;thunderbird school of management is good for masters students

@engineering students
wherever you go -depends on your plans-my plan is to join professional company so i opt for large national university .and liberal arts university curriculum are not demanded by companies

aren’t there any ed decisions out yet?but please don’t expect more from your side and from america …after all you are going to be depressed at at one moment-college app sucks.

@Schofield…“I got 2 acceptances…but rejected the offers…both pay 15k”…wot do u mean bro??u must be talkin abt last year’s acceptance!!!

@I will be in IB…“go for good national universities”…like???

@schofield.
I’ll probably get the decision by Saturday morning, coz it will be friday there. (i’m going to keep refreshing my hotmail inbox over and over until i get the decision . LOL)

^^ likes :smiley: …why is there no like button here as in facebook?

@Schofield: why not!!! :stuck_out_tongue: :p… teach me how to bargain!!! or mayb we can rob the central bank… :stuck_out_tongue: :p… u make the plan, crash in… loot… & do everything else… i’ll wait outside… deal??? if yes… then i’m in… natra… mm… mm… back to bargaining!!!

U so clever…

@all

Can I someone tell me if Hamilton requires SATII? Collegeboard says it requires for international students but nothing mentioned in the website?

Email them if u r in doubt
