i was also one of the candidates who got deferred last year in Lafa. Actually, this year i sent them my packet for RD. And, the misunderstanding was that since i posted my app on October last week, they thought i applied for ED…MY ED is in Trincoll…smelling acceptance…lol…just a joke. I think i will get deferred.

@duke
Ur next dai is also deferred from Lafa. U got it rite…

@3333
finally back to pkr. Just a few more colleges to apply…now, break for few days until i hear from trincoll…then within Dec 15 i will get everything done…then pokhareli thitis ghumaudai basney ho…
:p. And post ur app for trincoll as soon as u get no acceptance from Penn. Also, do what i’ve written in the emails…dont hesitate to call me if u get any problem. :p

I was wishing to apply for lafayette in regular deadline…
but when i read your threads , i got a feeling i shouldn’t. But i have no colleges even to report my SAT scores. PLz tell me whether i should apply to lafayette?
I am also checking trincoll , can you give me some idea about it too?
Does trincoll need SAT II and if they require can they let us submit SAT II scores after deadline?
P.S i want to continue with mechanical engineering? For Now, can anyone suggest me any of the 4 colleges which i should apply and report my scores? Coz 4 colleges can be sent for free. hehe.
I’ll be very grateful if someone solve my dilemma.

^^
post ur stats first. Not that Stats are everything, but we have to get an idea what kind of a student u are.

How much is 77.4% in the HSEB exams, in terms of GPA?

@duke
Sorry for my stats:
Here it is:
Academic performance: 86.63% in SLC and 79.24% in Isc
College: St. Xavier’s College
SAT I: Just took on Dec 5 , guess i’ll get 1350+ composite and 650+ in writing or 700+
SAT II: Taking in Jan
If SAT doesn’t go well , will take ACT.

Achievements:

I have much more of these stuffs and can mention more but just few things for now.

so what you have to say?
are these things enough?

yeah. I think quite enough for a goood college.

@pinkfloyd4life: 3.75

@Schofield: ha ha… o ya sure… :p

ok so i havent still completed my grade 12, so still a year left. But still is 3.75 GPA considered any good? and btw i have ABSOLUTELY NO EXTRA CURRICULARS!! What are my chances of gettin in a good college?

^^ i’ve seen gpa 3.5 and 3.25 getting in gr8 colleges… u got plenty time to build up a good resume so buckle up ASAP… focus on ur SAT… and ur ESSAYS!!!.. Essays r the most important part of your application… if u nail them down… u’ll get in, even with a 3.5

^^ thanks for the inspiration! Well i am workin on my SATs. And i definately will be preparing a good essay! Thanks though!

@duke
