<p>^^schofield…myan u deserved trincoll after so much of struggle. And yeah colleges definitely look beyond grades and SAT scores. Three examples from this year.</p>
<p>Cornell Uni guy : SAT 1840, 2 a’s 2 b’s
Trincoll guy from RBS : 1790…although strong academics
BNKS guy deferred from Stanford: 1800sth… getting deferred from there is a big thing itself.</p>
<p>and many other examples like the Upenn guy last year had 1900 score.</p>
<p>These guys have had either good eca’s or quirky passion into things that made them stand out I guess.</p>
<p>I don’t mean that scores don’t help. they definitely bolster our chances. but sometimes, it seems as if theyre looking for something more…something beyond…you know what…</p>
<p>n btw the third person frm rbs who got into trincoll also had 1980 SAT’s!!!..ani bnks bata any acceptances so far???</p>
<p>whao …these facts are really moving and inspirational yar… i have got good eca and such stuffs…but i always pulled myself behind thinking that i won’t be able to get into such elites and ivys of my sat …god, i was hell wrong…thanks anyway @everyone…

<p>We’ll have more trincoll acceptances definitely.</p>
<p>And, i feel that nobody read my post with care. Everyone says and be scared that either we have to have a gud TOEFL or SAT CR to show our english-proficiency. I didnt have any, as the minimum recommended TOEFL is 100 in trincoll. To tell u the truth, i even have told my each CR score to the International Head of trincoll. And, when i’ll post my “ARROGANT, SELF-OBSESSED but Truthful” essay here today, i bet almost none of u will like it. Still, i love my PE, and havent seen any essay which can surpass it (I REALLY AM OBSESSED :p). My friend at Brandeis always told me to change it…my roommate told me “its the riskiest essay i have ever read in my life”, my juniors told me “dai, will u get a US visa if u tell them u r a criminal?(supposing that i’m a terrorist :p)” NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE. I am trying to say that THE ESSAY NEEDS TO SHOW U…and yes, i didnt have the kind of essay which many people could love. AND, I was planning to take the SAT for 5th time…i remember a bhai playing jokes with me “Dai, hoping to see u at the next SAT date.” And, i had no hesitation to tell him that “MAY BE”. I know around 2000 SAT words, i waited an extra long year…still after that how would i feel when i see 480?? So, though i waited a year more, i was in the same boat as i was before a year. </p>
<p>And, DUKE, one thing will definitely surprise U. I had already completed my package to 15 colleges without telling to GC. And i was going to post for 7 more this week…total=22 (without GC). And, i have already submitted my common app and supplements to each 16 college which i need to apply through GC…TOTAL 38…and all stuffs completed except one…AND WITHOUT ANY ILLEGAL STAMP AND SIGNATURE OFCOURSE. How is it possible?? Lolz…:p</p>
