Class of 2014 From Nepal

i am applying to t.u in rd.
and i think there are few more from bnks itself.

HElP!!!
I asked the bank guy to register for jan sat but that fella register it for may 1 .
ppl, i want to change back that date to jan 23 and tragedy is that jan deadline is also over.
if anyone can help me with it, plz help me.
I want to take test on Jan 23 , if it’s not possible than can i cancel my sat registration and got some bucks refunded like 50%.
Plz, someone help me yar.

^^ serious problem.

I suggest u call collegeboard.com on a business day. they’ll tell u what to do. refunds are also possible from the collegeboard side.

is it possible that i can give my sat on jan 23?
what are the chances?
ma mood is off…so ****ed off!!!

^^ it is possible if you can have someone, who has already registered for jan test, give his/her date to you. you can change his/her profile details to yours and appear for the test. a friend of mind did that last year but im not sure about the whole process. again, the suggestion itself is a bit far-fetched to start with…

hehe…i think i should also apply to t.u…but not the one in texas…the one in kirtipur…damn the r.d. competition!!!

@schofield, or anyone who knows

what are the chances that a college accepts you in ed and messes up the financial aid package?
to be precise, what are the chances of lafayette not meeting your need? btw, i am accepted to lafa ED. im from SXC.

@skox818
i think u cant cancel ur registration…money wont be refunded as well…
but i suggest u try to give standby testing…december maa there were many spare places in lincoln…maybe u could get a spare seat somewhere on jan 23…think abt it if nothing works…
btw + $38 for standby testing

@pr2014: Congrats!!! Lafayette won’t mess up ur aid… in case it does… u can always bargain… :p

@3333
thanks dude.
yeah there’s the option to bargain. but again, it is risky, isnt it? especially if you dont have other options at hand.

@pr2014: the whole thing about ed is that u commit to enroll and they commit to meet ur full need… colleges are usually lenient when it comes to giving aid in ed… so don’t worry… laffa will give u what u need…

thats wht i heard. So applied ED. hope it does.

^^^WRiting too much in nepali…isn’t it?

yuppers/… too much Nepali it is…

maybe it is… or maybe not… we may never know that now… :stuck_out_tongue: :p… actually we may… but whatever!!!

2753 censored?? hmmm…sth’s fishy … ;|

I feel my english is horrible…My essays suck!

To someone above who cannot make the registration deadline for the Jan SAT:

I was able to test on December 2009, though my stated test date was supposed to be May 2010. I didn’t think I could test on Dec 2009 (because, like you, the deadlines for changing ticket information were all over) until I walked into the test center. i told the women sitting at the check-in desk that this test was too important for me to miss and that i desperately wanted to test that day, not May 2010. After discussing for about 15 minutes (meanwhile i was waiting in deep anxiety), they decided to let me in because fortunately many test-takers did not show up. They just kept my admission ticket and asked me to sign some documents, and from then on, i did like a normal test-taker. At the end of the testing day, one woman came to my seat and told me i would be charged $22 later on (no problem : P)

Sorry for being so wordy, but what i’m trying to say is: Before you decide to spend a whole lot of money on standby thingy, please do research your test center in advance to see whether it is large enough for some empty seats to be available :D. And then, on the test date, print your admission ticket out, go to the test center, and ask the people to change the information for you and allow you in. in case they cause you trouble, tell them my story, haha

Wish you luck ;)

I typed my counselor’s name as E.C. S******** and my commonapp account automatically changed that name to Elanjimannil S******** which I suppose is not our counselor’s name(?). Furthermore an automatic email was sent.

What is this? SXC ppl help me out!!

*400#: Don’t worry about the email sent… just delete the GC’s name and then again send in the notification…
