Haha I was gonna say “Most of my schools are flexible. And for others that have quant requirements, I’ll take something with the word math in it, like History of Math.” :p

Hey guys. Bombed my Math Level 2 subject test. I am now considering withdrawing my UC app, as it is the only school I actually NEED to send my December ML2 score to, as they require 2 subject tests and ML2 is my second. I truly believe my low ML2 score crushes any chances of me getting into any of the four I applied (UCLA, UCSB, UCSD, and Berkeley). It’s embarrassing how bad I did…and when I say I bombed it I’m not overreacting. My SAT is low enough already for international student standards for the UC’s (1820), and I applied Computer Science as my first choice major…thus having a score below 600 for ML2 is NOT going to help at all. Sure, I have a 3.92 GPA but my scores are not anywhere near competitive enough. Now, if I can somehow get my second choice major (Political Science/International Relations) switched as my first choice major, then I may actually have a shot, considering my 730 World History score, my essay (which is good and perfect if I put Poli Sci as first choice), and my leadership positions in Model UN. I feel like an idiot having put CS as first, since it’s pretty much guaranteed I won’t get into that, as they are impacted like crazy. If I can’t change my first choice major to Poli Sci, and my ML2 score is below 600, I think I’m going to withdraw my app, because quite frankly I don’t want to deal with four rejections all in one go.
