Class of 2014!

LOL. Yeah princeton WAS beautiful. But the tour guide was so stuck up to me. And I base my decision off that, I"m irrational.

My non-impossible favorite is still impossible. Vassar.

Princeton the suburb is SO HOLY FANTASTIC. I remember strawberry picking and shopping at little markets and walking down to the pool or Barnes and Noble when I stayed there for a month with my cousins. It’s totally my dream Uni just for being in that beautiful little place.

YOU FIEND, CC! You DID post it! Then told me I had to wait. Fiend. FIEND!!

Lol I come from the same kind of school but I’m guessing LACs won’t be THAT suffocating. I have 135 girls in my graduating class and even the small LACs will have at least 400.

Amherst seems to have the perfect balance of everything…sigh.

HAHA good to be…um…dug. Kidding, kidding.

I’m so jealous of all you people who’ve visited! I visited Harvard when I was like 5 but I’m pretty sure that doesn’t count, haha.

My school had about 100 kids in each year, I think we had around 800 total. But it wasn’t a private school or anything. Was all-girls though.

It’s such a shame that the tour guide ruined Princeton for you, mine was lovely!

I can’t keep up with these posts either. But I love seeing my postcount go up so fast. dweeb

Yeah, it was awesome my dad and I visited like 8 colleges in a week. HYP, B, A, M, V and a safety. My fave was Vassar followed by Amherst.

Then Brown. Sorry, what can I say, I came from a huge high school (300 over graduating) so I like smaller LACs

I don’t think 300 is that huge, ccp had like 700 people or more in his graduating class. tetris gives tiny a new meaning with 60 seniors.

Am I the only who hasn’t visited ANY colleges? I did no college hunting over the summer, because my parents would not have bothered with that. I wish I did!

And portugeseninja, I moved to Sudan because my parents were kinda homesick, I guess. My dad got a great petroleum engineer position here and their entire family lives in Sudan…we don’t have much family in the states. So in 2004 I moved back and have been here since. My whole living in America & Sudan thing is a great hook, since there are barely any Sudanese people who apply to American unis as undergrads, so many of my essays revolve around Sudan, lol. I am milking my heritage as much as I can!

I cannot be spending my time here though, as fun as it is. I need to get back to studying for my final two exams for tomorrow. Then I’m done with this semester. YES!

Edit: My senior class only has 17 kids. :P

OK suckers. I’m going to go watch Friends and eat some apple pie and drink tea.

Back latarrrr.

@ Malik, I’m milking the fact that I’m a gay guy from a Muslim country. Well not really milking since its my passion, fighting for gay rights so yeah, I let the college know that. Do you think that makes an awesome common app essay? Screw Stanford, they dont know ***** (as you can see Im still ****ed I got rejected SCEA)

I have nothing to milk. :frowning: Unless being a Humanities-theater-and-writing-interested Asian counts, and I don’t think it does.

Wow, I haven’t been on for a day and I’m already PAGES behind on this thread! You all are hyperactive LOL!
Hey I’m also applying to Princeton  At first I didn’t want to but my mom was like PrincetonPrincetonPrinceton and then my uncle was like “If you apply to princeton you’ll be half an hour away”(cause I have a lot of family in jersey) so then I was like, why the hell not? XD
LOL Ninja you listed two of my top schools as ones that don’t excite you. Penn and Cornell <3333333333333 I so want to get in Penn, like, so desparately baaad.

Oh and not from india, Macedonia. Hopefully it’ll help coming from a seriously underrepresented country? :)

gapyearstudent, hell YES that makes a great essay bro. The US already has this highly ignorant view of Muslims generally being completely intolerant and violent (being a Muslim myself I’m well aware of the ridiculous ignorance about the Muslim world that runs rampant in that country), and your essay about being gay in a Muslim country will make them sympathize with you big time. Not saying they shouldn’t sympathize with you, as I’m sure being homosexual is Malaysia is tough, but it’s the kind of stuff they want to hear, I think. You’ll definitely, stand out. No question.

Yes thanks. Hopefully it’ll be in a good way and not oh look at the poor gay boy complaining.

Haha

Macedonia=Alexander! :stuck_out_tongue: Haha good luck with Penn.

Malik, what’s the attitude towards homosexuality in Sudan?

What school do you go to in Malaysia gapyear? When I went to Singapore last month for a MUN conference I befriended people who go Alice Smith and Mont’ Kiara International School. Happen to know those schools?

Quasi: Homosexuality is punishable by death in Sudan. I only know one homosexual who has actually come out, and I know my friends don’t really care about him being gay, but generally people would disapprove immensely. A very open homosexual would definitely find himself harassed.

The Pomons ED results are out. My friend is in!

Yeah I know those schools. Sorry but I find some of them to be snobbish twits. The girl who was the USA delegate when we were debating about gay rights was so stupid. Bimbotic to the max. Kept saying stuff about how USA has equal rights. Oh yeah, so why cant gays get married?

Okay this thread has become about me and my passions lol. Sorry guys.

My school is full of snobbish twits. No offence, cheesy. AND OMG CONGRATULATIONS to your friend.

It’s okay, we are all extremely passionate people and need to get it all out whenever we can, yo!

…No innuendo intended.

gapyear: The people I met were incredibly cool! What MUN are you talking about - MYMUN? The one in Mont’ Kiara?
