Class of 2014!

Shed some light, shed some light on it please.

I am just using Princeton Review SAT and a Kaplan AP book. I also have a textbook which I use to glance over subjects I find harder.

I think PR should be sufficient, you could also take a look at the Sparknotes Bio section!

What are you using?

EDIT: Heey Bilguun! I read your essay, pretty cool! I thought you lived in Mongolia btw! Not in Slovenia!
Thats cool! I’ve been there once.

I read your essays kittykat, I adore the cycling one.

I’m just using PR at this point. I can’t absorb the extra info in the other books. I’ll probably glance over Kaplan when I’m all done with PR and do practice tests and stuff. I’m just hoping for a 700 now. :(

Oh Im sure Bio will work out just fine, it isnt too hard, its just basic memorization! You are taking Maths II too right? Me too, same ones (plus retaking literature).

I am making this concise summary of the Bio content, I can send it to you when Im done, if you want to! :)

Guilty, thanks! I live in Mongolia but I spent my childhood in Slovakia. Do you really think it’s good? I’ve been reading my essays today and my hopes have fallen slightly.

Gosh, I can’t possibly take Maths II. I have a 550 in SAT I math remember? :frowning: No, I’m taking USH and Bio. I took Lit earlier so I don’t have to take 3 tests this sitting. Why are you retaking Lit again? You did pretty well.

AND OMGAWSH THAT WOULD BE AMAZING IF YOU DID THAT!!!

Also, hey Bilgy!

Hello Qasi!

What’s new with y’all?

I am procrastinating on washing my hair.

@Bilguun: Oh sorry! Slovakia! I think your essays are good. Pretty personal! Don’t worry!

@Quasi: Oh yeah, my maths score was also a bit low (660), but I don’t have two 800s to make up for it! So I guess Im forced to take Maths… Tuh thun duhn duuuuun… Don’t worry about the maths score by the way, I know an international girl who got into Columbia with a 550 Maths (+ lower CR and W scores)! I am retaking lit because I took it as a joke the first time (didn’t even really know the test existed) and scored a 710, so I figured I might get a really good score if I practice a bit!

Of course! Not a problem! I hope I’m done today, but it could take a bit longer, I am afraid! :D

Hahaha, I am procrastinating on getting food from my kitchen. Although I am really hungry. ITS TOO COLD!

Haha I know, my feet are freezing. Although it’s not NEARLY as cold here as it should be there.

REALLY??? Do you think I actually have a chance at Amherst then?! And yeah, I bet you’ll do better in Lit this time, even though a 710 in it is pretty respectable considering the curve. And a 660 in math is something I would’ve killed for, you know!

And no problem, haha. Take as loooooooong as you want. I can’t believe you’re going through the effort of doing that, it’s inspiring. I know doing stuff like that would help me academically but I never bother.

Yeah, I think you have a great chance at the LACs you’ve applied to (and also your other schools), I think they’ll have loads of applicants who are more humanities inclined! And besides, I think it might actually “help” in a way that you don’t look like the average science-inclined Indian applicant!

I hope Ill get my scores up for lit! But for now, I am actively praying for a >780 on Maths (not respectable considering the curve. Ugh.)

Normally I always start to make summaries for school, but always stop after one page, procrastinate and cram everything last minute. But this time I HAVE to finish one. Especially now I promised you, now I can’t put it off (So you are actually helping me with this!). :D

I am procrastinating from finishing up my math portions by watching Brown a capella groups’ videos on Youtube :p

@Quasi: Are you planning on doing Bio E or M?

Do E! Do E! Much easier! And less-sciency!

E, OF COURSE. What a question, tetris. :p

Good luck with math 2, kittykat!!!

I just had the craziest shower adventure: I was lathering my hair with shampoo when I looked down and guess what I saw: the water at my feet was BLACK. I let out a shriek and paused to wonder, “Is my hair really THAT dirty?” before figuring out that there was some problem with the drains and turning off the water and scrambling out of there. I had to run through my house in a towel, SHIVERING and WITH FEVER, and shiver madly in my mom’s bathtub for TEN WHOLE MINUTES with soapy, dirty-water-soaked hair and skin waiting for the geyser to kick in and give me some hot water to finish my shower in peace.

Insanely enough, I feel * less * sick now.

It feels nice to return to internet radio after 2 full years :stuck_out_tongue:
And I’ve seriously gotta stop falling in love with Reed and WRITE about it <_<

Reed has its own nuclear reactor. That should interest you a lot, gary.

E? I found M easier I guess :-/
Edit: Cheeeeez!! I KKNOOOOOOOOOWWWW I can practically recite the reactor FAQ and most of the other stuff on the site about it by heart <_<

Wasn’t Reeds deadline last friday? Anyway! Good luck!

I feel ashamed, I’ve been listening to Kate Bush for like an hour.

And hahaha Quasi! That would kill me! Although, a cold explosion usually helps when you sick, because you instantly feel better when its warm again lol.

Me no likey pharathormone. And all the other things I’ve never heard of in my life but am supposed to know in 5 days.
