I don’t know how they come up with those stuff.

You have to give it to them, they are pretty creative!

Wazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzup?

GUYS. GUYS. GUYS. Holy ****. Me and my twin bro just got into USC (UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA)! And we BOTH got Dean Scholarships. This is incredible. I did not think I was gonna get in, let alone with a scholarship. This has made things problematic. I was set on going to NEU. NEU seemed perfect for me. And it’s in Boston, a city where I wanted to be. Having lived in California for half of my life I really didn’t wanna go back there again for university. Not that it’s bad - California is amazing - I just wanted to go somewhere new. And Boston seemed like the place to be. But now that I got into USC things are complicated. My parents REALLY, REALLY want me to go to USC. They think I would be a complete idiot to choose NEU over USC, and it makes me mad they think that way cuz NEU is awesome and I would be completely satisfied there. The thing is, USC is not only more selective and higher ranked (though I think rankings are BS) than NEU, USC gave me a scholarship…Northeastern didn’t. And that’s the deal breaker here, cuz my parents were getting stressed about paying for me and my twin bro’s college tuition, and Northeastern only gave my bro a scholarship, while for some strange reason I never got one. The scholarship USC gave me is 25% off the tuition for four years, so that’s like only paying for 3 years, and thats without taking into consideration financial aid. Moreover, in USC I applied as a Computer Science (Games) major, which is Comp Sci but with a huge emphasis in game development. Really unique major that no other prestigious university in the US has, and it’s really selective. Oh man this is crazy. I’m gonna have to do some serious thinking now.

Hey Malik, where’ve you been?

Congrats on the acceptance!! Awesome. Can you go visit in April before making up your mind? Where does your brother want to go? Do you want to go with him?

Either way, I’m happy for y’all.

Congratulations on the USC acceptance Malik!

I agree that you should visit both schools and make your decision then!

Wow, USC!!! That’s amazing, dude, congratulations! I second the idea of visiting both. When you experience college there as an acceptee you might feel differently.

Less than 30 days to go, y’all. This is starting to freak me out.

It’s 6:19am and I am still awake.

And I have officially read ALL the Harry Potter books. I read the final one for 18 hours straight on Sunday. (well, I did take a nap break and a lunch break but including those it was 18 hours)

CONGRATS MALIK, that’s fantastic! Good luck with your thinking.

ninja, I am proud of you. :D

OMG, Malik! Congrats!! CS with games development?! God, I’m so envious. That’s my single most wanted major in ALL of US College education. And I do mean ALL of it. Congrats on that scholarship offer too! For me the decision is a no-brainer but then that’s because USC is one of my top choices and since I require full aid I don’t have a snowball’s chance of getting in.

And well done to Ninja too! Only yesterday, I finally saw ALL of the Harry Potter movies. Hadn’t seen the third one before.

Congrats Malik!! USC is awesome.

Great job, Malik! Congratulations! I know someone who would die for that major as well :D

I think I know who you are talking about ;).

Anurag I haven’t seen all the movies either I’ve not seen the 3rd one (is it good?! I think it was my favourite of the books) but I stole my brother’s Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix DVDs and watched them.

The third movie suc ked. Worst of all of them, IMO.

I kinda like all of them because, well, they’re Harry Potter. But without a jaundiced eye, yeah, the third movie isn’t that good (though for someone reason it’s critically acclaimed(?)) IMO, the fourth movie was the worst because if I hadn’t read the books I would have had absolutely no idea what’s going on… plus Fred and George seem to be in Harry and Ron’s year(!). And after that probably the third one which I just saw. IMO, the last one was the best.

As far as books, yeah, Prisoner of Azkaban’s my favorite too. That book gave me the biggest “oh snap! NO WAY!” moments than any movie or other book ever have.

Yes cheese, you do ;)

The third movie is by far the best!.

^Couldn’t disagree more.

Third book was the best, for sure. Loved it.

Movie-wise, I’d say yeah, the last one, then the first one, then the fourth, the second, the fifth (Laughed when people died, thats how bad it was) and the third. Sorry, but the most memorable thing about the third movie was how fake the werewolf looked.
