Congrats Bassplayer!

Congrats bassplayer! Good luck you guys!

Congrats Bass! That’s great!

Okay, I don’t get it, has the universe gone topsy-turvy? I am getting accepted at Babson but getting rejected at Trinity C? ***? Isn’t it supposed to be the other way round, you know, getting rejected by the top school and getting accepted by the, well, not so shiny school?
And I’ve also been waitlisted at Wash&Lee, but meh, I’m not sure I even like that school.
And at the same time I got the email from Dmouth about the notifications date.

If this goes like the last time when I got accepted, rejected and watlisted in the same day, I can’t help wonder what it means that Dmouth would be the third school to email me today…

TWO MORE DAYS!

Thanks guys ! I hope things are working out for you too.

@ nelesy, I suppose the top colleges have more money to give to international students than lower ranked schools. Or maybe it’s just the Tufts Syndrome.

You know whats funny though? I applied to the actual Tufts. Being tufted by Tufts would be just… ridiculous XD

Hahaha, that is cool ash! You are our official lurker now. That is a honorary title as well.
You must think I am completely crazy though, now XD, after all these months of insane posts!

And Nelesy: Thats cool! Is Babson your second choice after Penn? I might take some business classes at business, but I was also thinking about cross registering at Sloan, MIT’s business school! Althoug I like economics a bit better, since it is a little more quantitive… not sure yet!

Shame about Trinity, but it is a fairly selective school right? It happens! Aid sucks this year!

Aid does suck this year. And I don’t particularly have a second choice, I only have my first choice PENN <3, but if I had to pick then yeah I think I’d go with Babson, I mean, they teach entrepreneurship how amazing is that? it’s amazingness personified.
Oh and I really liked the idea of Sloan but I hate it that I would have to take a science subject test as the requirement of MIT, even though I was going to study business grrrr and then it’s MIT, and they have an intls quota, and I am almost 99% sure that it would have been a rejection so I didn’t apply (not that I could have, cause I haven’t taken any science classes at my school since I go to a business school).

Well yeah, I didn’t exactly apply to MIT either, but you can cross register from Wellesley - and potentially Harvard haha, so I can take whatever class I want! I also plan to take a linguistics class with Noam Chomsky!

Anyway, what interests you about business so much?

And good luck! And congrats btw Bassplayer

Yo international peoples i’m here to join in the fun!! LAFAYETTE CLASS OF 2014 WOOT!!

Anurag, I haven’t heard yet. I don’t know if I’ll be getting it in the mail or by email like internationals did when decisions came out.

But last night I dreamed I got in to Oberlin! :)

Oh. I got waitlisted. :(

They sent me an email on the first day itself. I asked for near full aid so I’m hoping that’s why I didn’t get accepted. :p

I think that really does have a lot to do with it. Sorry for the waitlist, Are you going to stay on the list?

Yeah I am. I like Oberlin, plus I don’t have a cert yet.

Nelesy and Bass, what is Tufts syndrome??

Tufts syndrome when schools reject applicants who are regarded as overqualified for the college, because the college fears the applicant will not attend because of better offers.
It characteristically happened at Tufts, which a lot of applicants to Ivy League schools used as their safety school. It is kind of unfair, because sometimes people are tufted out of their safeties and matches, and regardless because of steep competition at their reaches, and end up without a school to go to!

Tufts is an amazingly tough place to get into. Especially for internationals seeking aid.

GB defined it perfectly. And cheese is right, Tufts are a bit on the scrooge side when it comes to FA for intls.

Finally accepted somewhere. Decision came today for Georgetown. In for SFS. That after being rejected this morning by NYU. Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around? Anyways people, don’t lose your hope!!
