Please, Washington State, need news about our cutoff score or a qualifying score, please! This thread has given me hope for 217 and I thank all of you for that.

sitting on the bubble! My D’s PSAT score is 217 and we are from MN
but I am now trying to relax as I am betting on GMTplus7’s crystal ball predictions
thank you to all of you who have been posting these and Congratulations to all the NMSFs!

@eastcoast1, Congratulations! Your interpretation was right!

So my DD got called to GC office today during the last period and was given a letter - with 220 in IL. It does not brake any new ground, only that her school received the letter. She doesn’t know if anybody else was called, looks like they did it one by one. Not a group thing. She did not contact anybody yet, the rest of the people that were in the running.

Commended (national cutoff) = 201

@heshehe, great news about MD. Were you told that the cut score for MD is 221, or just that your D made it with a 221?

Son 212 in TN. He made it! Don’t know how low it was here though. Thank all of you for your great information during this time of waiting since December! You all have been a great support.

Holy Cow!!! Maryland is 221? One very happy papa here!

So he WAS winking at me! I mean… that didn’t sound right… but you know what I mean!

Good luck to those still waiting. I feel your pain, I really do. Great group of people on this thread. I hope kids realize how lucky they are to have parents like you.

Congratulations to all so far! Looks like this was a great year for results!

Still waiting to hear in MN. D has a 219 so hopefully the crystal ball is right.

Any news for AR? I heard it is higher than last year’s cut off of 205 :(

In all the months I’ve wondered what it would feel like if DS made NMSF – I never could have imagined that it would feel even more special because of the virtual support and encouragement of so many wonderful people I’ve never met.

But it does feel more special – because of this community we’ve formed here on this thread.

People, THE PARTY’S AT MY HOUSE - 5pm CT! DS is an NMSF with a score of 213 in Kansas! <:-P

I can’t even believe it, but it’s official and true. And to so many of you who’ve hung on with me – thank you (with all my heart). I’m not going anywhere. We still have more work to do here. But I wanted give you enough notice so you can adjust your evening plans!

(And no new word of the official KS cut-off from our HS, but DS is confident that he had the lowest score among those called to the office after school today, so the previously-reported KS cut-off of 213 still stands.)

Congrats to your son, GoAskDad! We are all cheering for you both.

Surely you stopped doubting after you received the Carleton mailing? That’s definitive.

How does your S feel about this? Is he over the moon happy? Does he have a school picked out already? I forgot. Is he staying home in KS? Now these free rides open up- UKy, UCF…

@GoAskDad we are still waiting for the GC to drag herself out of the hospital and open her mail but CONGRATS and I will raise a toast to you and your NMSF child tonight, as well as all our other wonderful posters!

yea! to DS and @GoAskDad!!! I add my thanks to you and all others for the great support on this thread for the last 9 months. It has been very special to have other parents to talk to about this and read their take on the experience. DD made NMSF and you all have made it even more terrific. Thank you.

@GoAskDad, Congrat again!!! Did your son’s school summon the SFs after school? Unless the same process is going on at my son’s HS, I don’t have any responses/news today, which I cannot believe it. I thought I could find out the result early this week, at the latest. No responses from the principal and GC yet here. Well… now I see myself sitting in front of computer at midnight on Tuesday to check the local newspaper website. It will be one of the longest weekends and I’m going shopping some comfort foods and some junkies.

Does anyone know if the GC gets all the semi finalists’ letters all at one time or separately? I am asking because DS is on the bubble and this is gonna be a long weekend for us @-)

@realchk, according to a posting (I cannot locate it now), only a letter including an access info to the NMSC was sent to the principals. The principals are supposed to log on to the NMSC and print out the letters for each SFs, etc.

@realchk, I heard that the Principal/GC gets a letter with a code that they enter on the NMC website that opens a portal with the list of and letter for all of the kids in their school who have made the cutoff. I don’t have first hand knowledge, but this is what I read earlier somewhere on this thread.
