***Class Of 2015 NMSF Qualifying Scores***

IL parent here. My son got notified from his school on Friday with a 215.

I got the parent email after he logged onto his account. He also got the Carleton mailing.

Thanks for popping in @Mom2k2dogs , congratz! Maybe then those corks can pop after all (after 11am!)

Thank you @mom2k2dogs for the confirmation!

In MA – GC told us that the cutoff was 223. (223 qualifies.) So that is unofficial but hope it’s good news for someone!

We have a variety of options for today’s theme, so pick one (or more) that best-suits your situation!

“Sober-up Sunday” - “Semi-sober Sunday” - “Sit-tight-until-Monday Sunday” - “Celebration Sunday” - and any combination of the words “Stress” and “Sunday.”

Hopefully we will have more folks in the “Celebration Sunday” camp than any other theme category!

Thanks to all those who continue to post information, as well as the folks keeping our list up-to-date.

@jdot96‌ Thanks so much for sharing! I’m hopeful that DC will also be 223 then. MA and DC usually have the highest cut off along with NJ, so I think if one isn’t at 224 again, neither will the other two. But fingers crossed - my son has a 223 in District of Columbia. Thanks again for posting!!

@jdot96‌ I forgot to say congrats for your child! :)

Congrats @jdot96!! Updating MA.

Commended (national cutoff) = 201

I looked at the chart of scores from 2008-2014 that @GMTplus7‌ posted and MA and DC have been identical every year and have always had the highest cut offs (along with International) so I think the cut will probably not be over 223 this year. I can’t wait for Wednesday so I can actually get some work done again! This is like our version of fantasy football I guess!

@Wolverine I interpret post 2283 as saying that 223 is the cut-off for MA. I think the parenthetical “223 qualifies” is just a clarification of what “cut-off” mean. You disagree?

@jdot96 would you clarify?

Wow, the -3s and -4s are staggering!

@STEMFamily Yes, sorry I was a little unsure about the word “cutoff” – we were told that in MA a score of 223 or better qualifies for NMSF.

@STEMFamily…I thought from the wording that 223 was the cutoff, but since I wasn’t positive I didn’t want to post it as a straight-up “=”. Based on @jdot96 clarification, I think it can probably be updated.

@greatfallsmom Have not heard back from classmate yet, but my daughter is confident that her classmate did not score higher than 223 - which is consistent with MA information.

@mdmommy4‌ Thanks so much for the update! I really hope so!!

Mwah!!! Thank you so much mom2k2dogs. Sitting on a 216 in Illinois. Our H S not really active in NM. This conversation the only information I’m getting.

Made NMSF in NJ with a 225. Told directly by the principal.

Interesting that they got the “bias against men” removed…

Had not updated the “Max” score from last year’s values, so here’s an update with new maximum values for California, Delaware, Indiana, International, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Virginia, all who reached new maximums last year.

@rhandco It wasn’t a bias against males that was removed. It was actually the opposite, a bias against females that was mitigated, and it wasn’t anything NMSC changed. It was the addition of the multiple choice writing section by ETS and the College Board to the PSAT.
