***Class Of 2015 NMSF Qualifying Scores***

@helimonm, here are some Oklahoma partial lists. The Norman one says 2014 NMSF, but I think they mean 2015 as the article was just published a couple days ago. You need to be registered to get past the first page of first 3 of these. It looks like last year it was Union schools that published the full state list pdf, so you might contact them and ask if they plan to do the same this year.

Well, I finally called a NM office and DS made it in Nevada with his 228. Maybe he’ll get his packet today at school!

Anybody has NE full list? Please post.

@sport12kid–I signed my daughter up to take the October PSAT both years before she took the PSAT (took as sophomore for practice and then the one that counted as a junior.) I think it made all the difference because her scores were great both years. No other prep–no time.

@numbersfun Do you have the NMSF student listing for Skiatook High School in Oklahoma?

I finally have the Nevada list, badgered some reporters there until one relented and sent it to me. Anyone want it , PM me your e-mail address. I’ve been sending the WI list to people too.

Edited to add: Realized the Nevada list is pretty short. Just posted the whole list over on the list thread.

Got the consent email from NMC and set up the account and signed the consent. After all my D’s hard work to get NMSF, I was excited to be able to help out!

Thanks @celesteroberts‌. The Nevada list is short, hopefully that’s because of the school-aged population and because we rank about 50th in the nation for education.

I’m sure it’s just because there aren’t many high school seniors.

I know, just thought I’d vent about our wonderful education system here :((

Do you submit all your SAT scores or just one best test?

What should I do if the principal refuses to speak with/award the NMSC scholars of a school? Every time I try to speak with her, she is always in a “meeting,” and the administration give me bizarre looks, wondering why I have the audacity to wish to speak with Her Majesty. Our school also has a history for not giving out (or giving out late) NMSC letters. How can I make an account in this case?

Reporter at the Bangor Daily News claims they just received the state list today and will be posting in their online publication tomorrow. It wasn’t clear if she meant the whole Maine list or just Bangor area.

@LeoFireKIngdom, have you tried talking with your GC? At many schools GCs handle all the NMF paperwork. At son’s school they are finally calling the NMSFs in for a meeting this Thursday to notify them of their status.

@HeliMom74, what city? I don’t see that school listed, but my data is broken down by city, and I could be missing it.

Recap of scores over the past 8+ years by graduation year with a plus sign (+) next to this year’s score matching that state’s high (including ties) and a minus sign (-) next to this year’s score matching that state’s low (including ties).

If you score a 201 are you automatically considered for Commendation? We can’t get anyting out of the school - they say they haven’t received anything, but another high school guidance counselor said anyone that gets a 201 will receive Commendation???

When I called NMSC last week, they stated that the commended students info will be mailed to the schools on Sept 16th (yesterday). So allow a few days for them to get the info.

I also confirmed with NMSC that my daughter was on the commended list with a 205 from Ohio where the SF cutoff was 213. Waiting on the letter as well.

Thanks so much- I was told by the Guidance Counselor at another school that anyone with a 201 and higher would receive commended up to the state cut off for the Semi-Finalist … just wish she would study for these test lol… But she got a 34 on ACT without studying so I guess I shouldn’t complain … Old Mom here says missed opportunity - but every kid is different. I appreciate all of you!

And here it is, Maine:

All you gotta do is approach a couple of reporters in your state, preferably ones that are tagged as education reporters, or else community if there are no education. One of them is bound to be nice and either run an article like this one did, or send a pdf of state list. I’m 3 for 3 so far.
