***Class Of 2015 NMSF Qualifying Scores***

Yes, so happy, my son did beat a 210 cutoff!!! I should not be such a whiner. :)

How do we change the chart? Indiana needs to go down to 216 per #1426

Cut and paste the chart and other text into a new post and change the number there.

I’ll add it…also a report from LA…

Commended (national cutoff) = 201

My daughter has 219 in TX as well (public school). Does homeschool & public school have the same state cut off? It seems that bording school use regional cut off instead of state cut off?
I called our high school - they don’t seem to want to give out information in advance of 9/10…

Thanks for the congrats, Goaskdad! CONGRATS AND BEST WISHES TO ALL! hope to hear lots more good news from others here as info creeps in.

No one in IL? No homeschoolers nor schools report so far?

Thank you to those who are going to maintain The List. I would mess that up, for sure. I am not good at those things! I will just cheer on the List Updater People.

I have also now just joined The Well-Trained Mind, which is good because I’m pretty sure I’ve lost my own. I’m trying to glean any additional info over on their NMSF thread. I will report back what I learn.

Congrats to all our NMSFs & parents today! It’s getting hard to keep track of all of you, but I’m so happy for you!!

Fingers crossed for a FL homeschool report…

@CCTx15, yes public, private and homeschoolers in Texas have the same cutoff. Seems like several of us have children with that 219 number!

There are lots of Texas parents on this forum, so I am hopeful we will get some news today - good news I think!

Does anyone know the cut off for Michigan?

@CCTx15, did it sound like your high school had the scores today? That’s news, as we have not heard of any Texans receiving scores yet!

If no one from KS posts today, I’ll likely hear if I got in with my score tomorrow (my teacher always tells me stuff like that earlier than she’s supposed to).

Any SC homeschoolers here?

DD received a mailer today from Carleton congratulating her on ‘being considered for the national merit scholarship program’. They then refer her to their website for potential NM Scholars (tips for semifinalists in applying to be a finalist/scholar). It’s either a huge tease (with particularly bad timing if she doesn’t make the SF cutoff), or the schools already know who made it. DD is on the bubble in IL (not home schooled).

When I asked D if there was any word at her school, she said she had heard nothing. There were approximately 4-5 comfortably above last year’s cutoff and they were not told yet officially either that they were NMSF. Maybe tomorrow for Tx but hoping for a homeschooler to report soon! The suspense is killing me!

Cutoff in Ohio is =<217. My son was given his letter at school today.

Pmagoo, my daughter also received the mailer from Carleton College congratulating her “for being considered for he National Merit Scholarship Program”. Hopefully this is good news!
