***Class Of 2015 NMSF Qualifying Scores***

Per a friend who lives in Indiana, the cut off there is 212. This came from their GC.

220 in Texas. Confirmed status by school counselor last night.

@20student15, I’m sorry you didn’t make it. But with a 216, it must be you have a pretty SAT score, no? You will get other honors and scholarships for other achievements assuredly. Thanks for posting, but it isn’t clear to me. Are you saying you got 216 and did not get called in? Do you know of someone with a 217 who wasn’t called in?

@20student15, I am sorry that you didn’t make it, I am sure that your SAT/ACT are high enough for other merit aid.

@20student15 My daughter is sitting at 217 in TX. Still waiting to hear something, Did you know of anyone with a 217 that didn’t get called in?

Sounds like 218 in Texas makes it, 216 does not.

217 seems to be up in the air at the moment.

Thanks @suzy100 ! You made my day!! I was hoping for a 1 point drop from last year and never expected a 3 point drop in Indiana.

@20student15 Thanks for dropping by. Texas 216-ers unite! It’s disappointing but I think not actually very important. The score stands on its own and I don’t think the SF kiss of approval actually adds much to a college application.

Michigan confirmed with a 214!

@Suzy100, do you have any more “friends” in KANSAS? (aside from me…)

@20student15, thank you for posting an update - that’s very considerate of you under the circumstances. I’m sorry you didn’t make NMSF but you are a Commended Student, so be sure to put that on your apps and be proud of what you have accomplished! Best wishes to you for a great senior year!!

I still expect the majority of states to have a cutoff that is 2 points less than last year. One thing that I have noticed this year is better performance in math but worse performance in the other 2 sections for most of the states. I predicted that to be true at least for CT, NJ, and MD based on statistical analysis.

GMT was right on point for IN.

@20student15 - Thanks for posting. I have a D who also cut a 216. Be proud. As much as I would have loved NMSF for her, I am very proud of her. And to all those @ 216! It is a great score and accomplishment!

BTW, she could not confirm notification at her school so I am glad to hear it here.

Guidance Counselor at our suburban Westchester, New York school says no official notification as of yet.

Just got an email from our principal. My daughter is a NMSF with a 213 in Missouri.

The Michigan confirmation is from my daughter’s principal.
