Scholarship information etc… comes later. Admittance to the honor’s college pretty much “guaranties” a scholarship and reduced OOS tuition. Congratulations!

As scmember said your scholarship info will come later. You will get in-state.

The Admissions people have said that scholarship information shouldn’t be coming out until about March.

I applied regular decision to USC, March seems so far away…
It’s my first choice but couldn’t apply EA. Wish I was able to now that other people from MA that I know have already been accepted! So anxious/nervous!!

Mark2457: I was unaware that UMass is higher ranked than USC, although UMass Amherst is a very competitive school academically. Haha and yes, I’ve heard the same…

Does anyone know will the housing application for Fall will be open? I called after I got accepted, and was told it would be open yesterday, on the 3rd. Today when I log into VIP though, the application is listed as “unavailable”… help!

i think they meant february 3rd because thats when the usc emails are being released too

I think that current undergrad applications are open early this month, and then for the rest of us, it should open up sometime in the middle of the month or early February. At least that’s what they’ve said on their facebook over and over again.

USC emails? I haven’t heard about that. Do tell. =D

Accepted, but out of state and no scholarship yet (I got into the Honors College though, so I’m happy about that). Did they already send out scholarships?

They’re not supposed to send them out until March I believe.

jdb, if you got into Honors you will probably be getting in-state tuition.

I was accepted today from MA and I didn’t apply early action… they might be sending them out in waves?

^Probably.

A bunch of my friends got into Clemson within a few weeks of applying even though they weren’t supposed to know until February… but they had really high stats, so I guess it was almost like auto-admit.

I got accepted in December (early action). No news about scholarships yet, but if I get any of the scholarships (OOS) I will most likely attend. Does anybody know that if I have the minimum is it automatic to get the scholarship (1210 for the Woodrow)?

No scholarships are automatic as far as I know.

my friend applied regular decision, 1230 sat and 92 average…when do you think she will hear?

Hey everyone my name is Will and I am 17. I am a senior in HS now and am attending USC next year and got accepted early admission. I have a 3.5 GPA and 1130SAT/25ACT. I was really surprised to be accepted early admission honestly. Anyways, I live in Lexington, SC which is ~10 minutes from Columbia and I have lived here my entire life. I am a die hard Gamecocks fan and I know pretty much everything about USC and Columbia. If you have any questions I would be glad to answer them :)

Serious Question, wbmustard: What is the weather like down there, especially this time of the year (Dec to March)? I’m really looking for an upgrade right now with all the snow we’ve had in NJ.

Not necessarily the norm, but D reports it was in the low 70’s this past weekend, about 10 degress warmer than usual.

South Carolina weather is really unpredictable. Like DON HO said this past weekend was amazing weather, it was in the 70s and felt great outside. Normally it is just cool weather (~50s). Every once in a while it will be like really cold (to us in the south thats pretty much anything below freezing) and then we have some really nice days to like this past weekend. But from people I know that moved from the north they love the weather here. Weather we describe as freezing is probably like nothing for you. It never gets like single digits though. Surprisingly enough it has snowed twice here this year, well this season. We are usually lucky to get one, light snow…and that is enough for me haha. But coming from people I know that moved down here they absolutely love the weather.
