Going into my senior year, is there anything I can to make myself more marketable for Michigan before I apply?

Sup Dong. And he’s right, get your GPA higher but also try to get your ACT higher. You’re out of state, even so, unless you have a significant upward trend, even getting a 4.0 your senior year might not be enough. Anyways, good luck!

^^they do get your 1st semester grades if you don’t apply EA. I honestly do not see much of a chance with a very low GPA compared to the average of Michigan(3.8 unweighted) and you are in the lower 25% of ACT scores. If you really want to go to Michigan you should study and retake the act and aim for at least a 32 or higher. Also get that GPA up because admissions are getting harder

^OP will probably get deferred if he applys EA, so his first semester senior grades will matter. Even if Michigan doesn’t require those grades, they would still prefer to see it. And even if he gets his ACT to 32+, it still might not matter. Unless there is a significant upward trend, even the 4.0 won’t matter because of the weakness of previous years. The only chance at admission would be to have extraordinary circumstances or the most spectacular essays and recs in the world. I know this because I wasn’t admitted in state with a 3.6+ GPA (UW) and 33 ACT.
