<p>6) In your opinion, which was your best essay?: Wheres Waldo and Why Uchicago were both very good. The optional essay was good too but it just doesnt give me the same sense of pride and accomplishment as the other 2</p>
<p>7) What you want to major in: Economics, East Asian Studies, Computer Science, History. Maybe a new language too; I already speak English, Hindi, Urdu, and Spanish. Think Russian might be an interesting language to pick up</p>
<p>8) Whether Chicago’s a safety/likely/reach school for you: Its the dream school of my dreams. Seriously, I would give up Harvard or MIT or even a billion dollars for UChicago.</p>

<p>So seriously, does anyone else have a love/hate relationship with the whole “holistic admissions” thing? Yes, it’s awesome because it gives you a chance to make up for some less-than-stellar objective data, but it also (for me at least) sucks because I literally have no idea whether I’ll be accepted or not. I fluctuate moods daily from “ohmygod I shouldn’t have even applied I don’t stand a chance” to the equally bad “look at how awesome all of my objective data are, I’m totally going to be accepted.” This wait is killing me, slowly and painfully.</p>
<p>^^ well it works to my favor (possibly) since I have a SIGNIFICANTLY less than stellar GPA (a 4.0/5.0 W) but have a 2340 SAT I, 800 SAT II, some of the best ECs (imo) without actually being like top 10 in the US in anything o.0, and well written essays. Anyway…</p>

3) How long/hard you worked on app: I spent the summer screwing around with the essays. I wouldn’t say I worked incredibly hard, per se. I approached the essays like I would writing a story for the fun of it.

<p>The interview was actually a lot of fun! We started off talking about all the usual things like campus culture and extracurriculars, but then the conversation went on a tangent about Somalian piracy and musical theatre.</p>
<p>@jackrabbit420 I didn’t work on the app everyday or anything. i would work like sporadically. i guess if we added it up it took me like 2 weeks’ worth of time?</p>
