@cellomom51 --I’m working on the magnum opus now! It’s taking a while because I have to get up constantly to do a happy dance.

Congrats@EastchesterMom, soooooo happy that everything worked out for you and your D!!! :))

I wrote a long background post too but I’m getting up the courage to post it, it’s pretty honest and this has honestly been a very tough journey for our family but my daughter’s story will get there soon because I feel it will help those who come behind us as those who went before (and with) helped us.

congrats @cellomom5 & D… Congrats @eastchestermom & D!!! So excited for all of you!!!

So happy for you, cellomom and EastchesterMom!!!

@EastchesterMom, your D is a traiblazer and I know we want to know all about the program and how it works. Please keep us informed, there will still be time to add it to our list after your D starts :)

Happy for @cellomom51 and @EastchesterMom. :)

Eastchestermom, would you be willing to start a thread about Molloy/CAP21? It’s also one my D is interested in

Sure! Always happy to pay it forward.

Just started it…in MT Major.

I can’t even believe its decision day. May 1st seemed to far away in August when I joined this site. The next few months can slooow down, I’ll keep my baby at home as long as possible please and thank you.

I agree @MTMajorCook. They actually were talking about it on the today show that today is College Decision Day. I am ready for things to slow right down. Cannot believe we are only 5 weeks left of High School. Such mixed emotions. He will be singing his final solo number at the high school Friday night so I know that will be tough for me to get through.

It is only 2.5 weeks remaining for us! Can’t believe it. The HS just had their senior awards ceremony last night. One of the theatre seniors sang Goodbye from Catch Me If You Can, seemed like a good sendoff. Time is flying right now…

11 days and counting!

11 days?! WOW! We’ve got until June 12th, but the senior showcase is Saturday. The last time The D will perform at the school!

Seniors in my D’s group are doing “a little more homework” - as their senior song and they wrote their own original entries for the section where the kids speak (“I turned 13 and”… of course they are saying 18, not 13) Coolest thing is- they got copyright permission for Jason Robert Brown, and his representatives asked the school to send a copy of the lyrics our kids wrote. Won’t be a dry eye in the house!

@toowonderful that is so cool. My son did a master class with Jason Robert Brown what a nice guy he is!!

We don’t finish until June 20!
8 snow days! 3 of which fell during Chicago Unifieds, which significantly helped my D’s really bad senior year attendance numbers. (She was absent but it didn’t count because school was closed)
D is much calmer and happier now with the decision made and we can have a nice summer. :-)

I don’t know about everyone else but my son is so ready for senior year to be finished. He really is ready for the next step in life. I however not so much!!

As the parent of kid in the '19 group, I"ve been following all the threads, and I had a question. I’ve read that some kids get off the waitlists throughout the spring and summer. So what happens to the school that they already committed to?
