CLASS OF 2019 REGULAR DECISION APPLICANTS

@kelseyvu I’m in the middle of class trying not to panic so I understand. And rejections/waitlists should be done by noon, leaving only acceptances.

@ivyhopefulebound‌ Really wish you the best. It’s NYU’s mistake that they did not see the potential in you and others like you. Good luck on your future journeys.

Admission decisions for Regular Decision candidates will be sent sometime on April 1st after 5pm
What do you guys think about this.

Florida here, and friends got waitlisted. decisions are released not by region.

Massachusetts here, no email yet, I’m shaking and I feel like someone’s punching my stomach…

http://admissionsblog.nyu.edu/2015/03/26/the-admission-decisions-are-coming/

what does the second to last paragraph mean?

@hyperbole Nope that’s incorrect. The admissions blog yesterday said all decisions will be released today.

@hyperbole‌ this was posted yesterday on NYU admissions blog

"While our official notification date for Regular Decision candidates is April 1, we are now on track to release admission decisions by email beginning early tomorrow morning. We will do everything in our power, to release decisions before and after the typical school day in America tomorrow.

This means decisions will be released in waves. Some decisions will be released before sunrise (here in New York City). Others will be sent in the late afternoon. We do this to minimize disruption to students during their school day here in the United States."

Good Luck to everyone!

@rk960925 I think that means if you call them, they won’t tell you your decision until March 30

so if we didn’t get an email, does that mean we were accepted?

@xo7g1l47xo not necessarily. They have to reject/waitlist 42k people. Most of them were sent this morning I believe

“Admission decisions will not be posted online, nor will they be available over the phone until Monday, March 30.”
Does this mean acceptances (since rejections and waitlists are being released) will not be posted online?

@kelseyvu‌ you accept the decision through Albert so you’ll see it in Albert. But the decision is more likely going to be in your email and if accepted in your mailbox

@rk960925 It means that you can’t receive your decision by calling the admissions office until the 30th.
Just the email which is sent sometime today.

All-
When was the last rejection wave?

West coast SoCal here. Last night around 10:30-11ish, we had a wave of waitlists and rejections too. That’s the only one that I know of. Did anyone else from SoCal hear anything?

@ali121 it’s not by location. It comes in waves of acceptances and rejections. If you have not heard yet you have survived the first round. Make it past 3 PM EST and you are good!

Has anyone heard back form NYU Poly? I know its part of NYU, but they have slightly different practices for admissions since they only merged last year.

@nightowl19‌ thank you so much! That made me feel a lot better

I applied to Poly as my first choice but haven’t heard anything back.
