My friend was accepted to Tisch Acting today and we’re from NJ

Dad and Grandfather both attended…weird.
Though we very much appreciate your interest in NYU, we strongly encourage you to move forward with confirming your enrollment and placing a deposit with another college or university at this time – and certainly by May 1, the common reply date for most colleges and universities.

NYU is my last hope… I just want an email that says accepted. Is it just too much to ask? 
This year’s competition was off the freaking level guys… I really don’t know what to do if I get rejected from NYU.

When I visited the campus last fall they said they’re really big on diversity and representation right now…so maybe that’s why you didn’t get in, @kaj71. You’re just not black enough.
@attheballet acceptances don’t start rolling out until 3 est though. How did they receive an acceptance?

I’m not completely sure but I feel like there’s two waves; one before sunrise and one afterschool (3pmEST). According to the blog, it says, “Some decisions will be released before sunrise (here in New York City). Others will be sent in the late afternoon.” Since there’s only two options, I’m hoping there’s only two waves.
