I don’t think there’s anyway I can afford this but WOW!
@rk960925 I got an Email
It’ll come!
I GOT IN!
I also got waitlisted at Colgate and rejected at JHU but most likely will attend NYU!
Accepted to CAS
LOL ANYONE ELSE LAUGHING AT THE $71,000 COA LIKE OMG
Guys I’m so confused. I got into Stern which was a major reach for me and I was so happy but I received no grant money from NYU, only loans. Not to put too much information out there but I’m in a single parent home with an income of <$20,000, how could I not get any need based financial aid? Please if anyone knows what I should do in terms of contacting the financial aid office the help would be much appreciated.
What if the financial aid still says it’s unavailable? D:
I chose GLSP as my second choice because I thought it was cool HAHAH, is it a bad program? I’m confused
@turnuptuesday I’m also confused. I got into CAS but I received close to nothing as well. Only one parent in my family works and the tuition is well over our yearly income.
I got in!!! 32 ACT 2130 SAT
@turnuptuesday - The information I saw last week (source unavailable) said that 1) NYU does not give need-based financial aid. The package basically reflects their desire to have you – i.e., the most sought after students get the most money. 2) It is almost certainly futile to appeal.
We’re in the same boat – great to be accepted, but not nearly enough aid was offered to make it possible.
GOT IN! And right after my UMich waitlist too! Congrats everyone
GUYS, just check your Albert. No email. Got in. 30k grant!

@yoshimax what’s your total financial aid?
Accepted to Liberal Studies…I applied to CAS. Do I absolutely have to spend my freshman year in Florence?
The fields on the notification (Term, Academic Program, Description [= Core Program], Degree, Admit Type [New Freshman]) – none of these indicate the campus, i.e. NY, Abu Dhabi. Or does “core program” mean the NYC campus? If not, do we get separate accept/rejects for each campus?
@Eurocar, I don’t believe this is true. Simply googling NYU need based financial aid shows an NYU financial aid page that says the majority of grant money they give each year is need based.
Hey guys is there a facebook group for admitted students?
i got into CAS! In the email it said I was offered a position as a C-STEP student what exactly is that?
ACCEPTED TO TISCH!!! I’M SO PSYCHED!!!
