I’m pretty sure you can use it for housing and the meal plan!
omg thank you so much!!
Hey guys I accepted to CAS History major, but can I change my major once I start my learning at NYU. Is changing my major possible within CAS?
@dramamother Tisch is probably a better bet. Not only is it in close proximity to Broadway, but it’s ranked second best program in the world! There is a ton of talent at Tisch. I’m not sure about the number of students.
Yes, you can change majors.
Accepted to Poly! Got $64000 Per Year in loans. Just need some of it though, so I’m good
@SameerHussain when you opened your Albert financial aid, did it say in the financial aid table Loans?
When I have in my financial aid table only word Scholarship, does this mean it’s not needed to repaid? No Loans attached right?
Yes, it said loans.
so was the housing change speculation correct?
I got accepted to CAS for Biochemistry! They gave me $43,380 in a scholarship, a few thousand from federal grants, and the rest in loans to total full cost of education!!
They gave me like 30,000 in loans but then when I leave I’d have more than 100,000 to pay back
I was accepted yesterday as I saw on albert (green offer of admissions button and financial aid package), but I have yet to receive an official acceptance email… Anyone else?
Have not received an email regarding my decision yet ( I live in Iowa if that matters), and I’m sort of freaking out.
I was accepted but despite a $33K scholarship, I’d still leave with a massive debt pile exceeding $125,000!! Insane when Barnard offered almost a full ride with just a $1500 loan!
I bad. The $1500 from Barnard isn’t loan. It’s college work-study.
NYU sounds amazing because it’s located in NYC and filled with interesting people, but I’m beginning to think it isnt worth it because I’ll be in debt and will have to repay my loans for the rest of my life. I would much rather go to Barnard, BU, or Fordham because they all gave me a generous amount for tuition.
@nativeamerikat sorry for late response but thank you so much! I’m pretty excited
@tuckerr1110 I’m in the same boat but with Paris. I had put CAS as a choice too, but my top was liberal studies in Paris. that was before I knew about the stigma around it though so I’m not sure how to feel (also I only got about $10k and that’s just not enough for me to attend, even if it is my favorite school)
@rpp216 What would that stigma be exactly?
