This is weird, I hadn’t checked the housing thing until now and all of them but the fall term, which said freshman, said non-renewable undergraduate. I then came back to page and refreshed to see that all of terms now said freshman. That sounds like these changes are simply glitches in the system.
@turnuptuesday I’m starting to believe the housing thing is legit, if so I’m rejected
@Rantahu what so you think is indication of rejection?
Before the summer in NY and DC were now non renewable but now everything says freshman. I hope that means i got in!
@victorose5 lol The freshman housing and the ability to sign up for fall housing. Not a good reason but I can’t wait for the letters. Rather prepare for the worst.
I just got here, but I applied regular decision for Recorded Music, too!
NYU is my number one, and i have no idea what anyone’s talking about on here, really, so… my guess is just not to worry too much in my case, haha
Does any of this housing stuff apply to people not living on campus?
I doubt it would. You wouldnt have access to it even after acceptance
I’m pretty sure it’s a glitch because it let me submit my freshman housing app like 5 days ago and now nothing shows up…
Is anyone else freaking out about admission to stern school of business??
All of my tabs say “Freshman” and when I click on NYC fall, it gives me the option to apply for housing. Is this a good sign?
Mine says freshman for fall too… I doubt it means anything though, because the admissions office posted this on their blog two years ago: “Once again, despite what you may read on social media websites, we do not post any admission decisions on our website (including our NYU Albert web portal, where students can check the status of their application credentials – but not their admission decisions). Each year, many applicants continue to believe that changes to their admission or financial aid application fields on the NYU Albert website are an indication of their admission decision. They are not. The only way for you to know your admission decision is to simply wait for your email. We completely understand how anxious waiting for an email can make anyone.”
So changes to your account/portal don’t mean anything! You need the official letter!
@gtownmathkid23 Yes, very much so… I just got into UVa but I’m very worried about getting into Mcintire later, so getting into Stern now would be great!
What do you guys think…is this the R menu?

P.s. Everyone saying “NYU said these glitches don’t mean anything” may be right, but numbers don’t lie, and these “glitches” have been a correlating sign in the past years ![]()
@tjclue04 that’s the right one. I have the same status as you, and not the freshmen status ugh however I applied to NYU Poly which is in Brooklyn. Also I have the FA change to “2016 Award Access Not Avaliable.” Has there ever been correlation with housing and admission before? It seems like a new rumor that just came out of nowhere.
…
Can everyone fill out the entire fall housing application?
I’m hoping the housing update is an indicator of admission.
@2019kkcgfcgmc Yes, I am wondering the same thing. I’m able to fill out the entire fall housing application.
I have conflicting indicators. I don’t have the housing option but I have the financial aid change which has been long standing.
