My kid has a good academic profile , but not good in test Taking , has APs in humanities but only honors classes in math, will take AP stats in senior year.
How to satisfy the math AP requirement for STERN ?
Where are you seeing that an AP is required for Stern? The requirements are “Applicants to the Stern School of Business should have Calculus or, at least, Precalculus on their transcript.”
Or do you mean that you don’t want to submit SAT or ACT and want to submit AP/IB scores instead? In that case yes he will need either an AP or IB grade in math if he wants to submit scores. He can still go test optional for this cycle as another option. However, I would suspect that assuming he has already taken precalc, doing stats rather than calculus for senior year may not be viewed that favorably given their preferences. As you probably know, Stern has an admit rate of under 5%, so it pretty much falls into the reach-for-everyone category.
3.77 GPA at a pretty good private high school in the Bay Area, 1530 SAT. ECs: volunteering at an immigration office for 2 summers, assistant teacher at summer school for middle schoolers, SAT tutor, attended modern philosophy class at UC Berkeley (also getting letter of rec from prof), founder of east african club, varsity basketball, play the drums.
Is there nobody else contributing stats?
3.73 UW(bad freshman year, upward trend) 4.63 Weighted. 10 AP classes(5555444), 1500 Sat(700&800), leadership roles in multiple clubs, a lot of community service, research summer program at a local university, varsity golf. ED1 to LSP

My kid’s stats: 35 ACT, 4.4 W, 16 APs (5s and 4s), strong but not crazy ECs (spots, internships, other learning)
sports, not spots.
35 ACT, 4.0 UW, 2 AP Classes (APES, Calc AB) and 4 AP tests (APUSH, Gov, Lit, Lang - 5 on all). Applying to Tisch for D&P, ~2000 hrs of theater experience over four years as stage manager, tech, design, director, and some theatrical freelance work.

portal astrology?
I saw that somewhere, “portal astrology.” What are you referencing with your post? 
Son’s portal says decision reached as of yesterday. He did get notification earlier in the week that ED decisions are coming out on the 11th instead of the 15th. Seems a bit cruel so post a decision reached but have to wait another week.

Yeah this years thread is super inactive for portal astrology. Can we up it guys!!! I just checked my NYU portal and it says “Your applicant portal has been updated in preparation for decision release.
We are getting ready to release your admissions decision, which will be available in the late afternoon (ET) on December 11th. Your portal may look a bit different in preparation. We are no longer offering application status updates, and all of the materials submitted in support of your application have been reviewed by our team. For more information about admissions decision release, please check your email for a message with the following subject line: “Preparation for NYU Admissions Decision Release.”” But I haven’t gotten an email with that title yet. Has anyone gotten it?!?!?!? I got the emial from last monday that announced the dec 11th decision date
i applied ed 1 w 1410 sat, 3.56 uw/3.8w, 2 aps junior year 5 senior year. all other classes honors) applied psychology major at steinhardt. 2 part time jobs, sports inside and outside of school, volunteering, youth council, freshman year research, library volunteering, nyu psych fall workshop, a couple honors and awards. not expecting to get in but we’ll see lol. housing portal has positive(?) indicator- says no apps available.

Does anyone have anticipated enrollment this cycle?
kind of similar stats except replace psych with finance and I did also do a finance research thing with at NYU over the summer. And a lot of ec’s for finance and business, but I took a total of 14 AP’s.
And yes mine says no apps available too
my housing says no apps available, I applied ED1 to Tandon
