CLASS OF 2019 REGULAR DECISION APPLICANTS

It makes me feel like I just got accepted and rejected. Maybe they realized how we speculate way too much and decided to just reset everyone’s stuff.

Yeah, I think that the FA changes were reset because of the Albert maintenance. Guess we’ll just have to see what happens.

Mine changed back to the original one too.

I have a sinking feeling that I am not going to get in. Mostly because I applied to Stern. This is gonna be the longest month ever. I can only hope for the best!

AHHH this whole FA change thing is killing me. From what I remember, I might have had the table and I remember the number 2016 being in it but now it’s just saying “Select Aid Year to View” and “Award access not available.”

Yeah… So, I had a question… My daughter applied to the schools of Arts and Sciences, but she wishes to enter NYU’S Polytechnic school instead… If she does get accepted, is she allowed to switch schools afterwards?

It’s either one of two situations

NYU has finally put a stop to the FA change before decisions

The NYU website maintenance messed things up

Hi everyone! I am applying to CAS as a Comp Sci major. Like most CAS comp applicants I am nervous about being pushed to Poly. In Albert it says I applied to the Washington Square campus. Do poly kids get this too? Or does their status say Brooklyn or something?

She would have to do a internal transfer once she’s in the school.

Has anyone gotten the change since the statues were wiped because people who got in ED told me that they had maintaince during their process too but it didn’t wipe their status. Maybe it’s done for real?

@jitsuqueen‌ Hopefully not!

Hello RA applicants, I was an ED2 applicant and got accepted into Stern 2019. Some information to keep in mind, the FA change is a TRUE theory for domestic applicants. For international applicants, its iffy and I’ve seen many rejections with international applicants who got the change. I am from NJ and I got the FA change January 31st/February 1st. This was about 2 weeks before decisions were released. So it is still extremely early right now for you guys and many FA changes are bound to come. FA changes come out in waves, I’m not sure how far apart the waves are but typically a week apart and get more and more frequent leading up to decision date. For those of you who don’t know what the FA change is, it is when you go to the Financial Aid Summary on Albert and your screen changes from something saying “Award Access not available” to a table with “2016 | New York University | Award Access Unavailable” But what is this with FA changes getting removed after maintenance? That is unheard of. NYU Albert underwent maintenance for ED2 applicants however the FA changes remained. What I think this means is that NYU is finally resolving this terrible theory. This FA change caused me so much anxiety. I was literally checking my financial aid status for NYU every hour and I lost so much sleep over this. My advice to you, is to keep calm and not check Albert constantly like I did. Distract yourself and focus on your school work or your hobbies. Best of luck to you all.

I guess this means RIP FA Theory

Thank you NYU for finally having decided to save the anxiety of your applicants >:D<

Is there any way to see if they’ve recieved your mid year report? I sent mine a bit later and I’m kind of stressing out about it.

Email them…

Ask your counselor to check his or her commonapp page. If a college receives your mid-year report, in your summary page the mid-year report column is supposed to be “Downloaded.”

Or it means they will wait until March 18th 2 Weeks before lol!

Guys I’m really worried
On my financial aid portfolio it doesn’t say anything. I sent in my CSs profile and FAFSA along with new tax corrections way before…but nothing is listed. On the portal this is listed:

Below is a list of your current To Do items. Items in a Requested status need to be submitted to the Office of Financial Aid in a timely manner. Items in a Received status have been received by the Office of Financial Aid and are pending review.

The thing is, nothing is listed on my financial aid portfolio. So idk if they received it. But if I mean if they did, then wouldn’t it be listed and it would say received next to it??!!
Do other people have this!!! Please answer!!
Thanks

No one has it. Just email them… I emailed them and they said they got mine
