I buy my S vintage MT records all the time, I think I like them more than he does. I love to listen to Liza sing “Maybe This Time” on his record player…the neighbors probably think I’m crazy LOL
Pace calls are going out. Acceptances are rolling in. My D did not apply there, so I can watch this one unfold stress-free!
my97MTbaby just posted on the acceptances thread!!!
Is Pace still making calls? The suspense is crazy!
I would imagine if someone got a call a short bit ago, that it takes time to make a bunch of calls and so they likely are not done yet.
However, it seems odd to me that such calls would go out during the school day. Students likely can’t use cell phones at school. This kind of call should really be to the student and not the parent. I’m sure it’s a happy thing no matter what. When my D went through this process, only one school called to notify of an acceptance (the others were by snail mail). It was Syracuse and they called in the evening and my daughter was able to take the call.
They went out during the school day last year too…to the student’s cell phone.
“They hope to be able to get through them today, but realize they may have to continue tomorrow.”
I seem to recall that it took two days or more for Pace to reach all the MTs last year.
Pace has other audition-based programs, too…it takes them forever (or so it seems)!
As of yesterday cell phones are no longer prohibited in NYC public schools. Several posts on FB from NYC kids. Making all the calls outside school hours would take many more days.
I’m sure Amy is going to make many more calls! Good luck to everybody!
@GSOMTMom they surely did. In our case, they had my cell number (I don’t know why) so I got the call from Pace. I told my S it was really the mommas they wanted. BFA programs for the middle-aged? Yes, please
While my kid did not apply to Pace, calls to my kid’s cell would not have worked because our cell phones did not get reception at our house or at our school and so my kids’ colleges had our land line as the phone on record. Even so, I don’t think kids were allowed to use cell phones during the school day. But apparently that is not the case elsewhere!
Oh you were not allowed to use the cell phone at my kid’s school either but when the call came from the 212 area code, he went to music room where the teacher was understanding and a little more lenient.
No idea which schools have which numbers. So far, calls have come in on the home number but you never know.
LOL, last year we took no chances and gave them all my office number.!
At WMU right now - got called back to dance. Could use all the crossed fingers we could muster!!!
And toes, too, @KaMaMom!
Yay! Go @KaMaMom! Good vibes coming your way!
Sending you good vibes and cross everything I got @Kamamom
