I got home to find a small letter from Pace (fully knowing what was inside) when I told my hubby I was going to try to see through it with a flashlight, he looked at me in feigned horror…and then 2 seconds later admitted that he already did!! D is at rehearsal all evening and it isn’t worth asking her about opening it. We all know what is inside.

I like when the schools take pity on you and the outside says “your story starts here.” Maybe they should start marking the rejections as “your story ends here.” Just to be clear to the parents.
When my D got her academic acceptance to Pace, it came in a big envelope that said “The Answer is Yes” on the outside - you didn’t have to try and guess. Nothing on the outside of the artistic no. 
We got a cell phone call today from a NY number. When we answered the female voice said “Congratulations! You have been selected for a lower interest rate…” My first thought was how would my kid have reacted to that first word if we had been waiting to hear from Pace, Marymount, Ithaca or Syracuse.
@TNMTDAD I jokingly suggested last year that we do MT March Madness brackets!
I like the idea of March Madness brackets! We have an agreement in our house that if mail comes, it will be opened immediately. We are ALL invested in this process, and D is gone more often than home. D was actually more upset that my cell was called (with good news) when it is her number on her resume, and I’m the back up number on the application. She would have missed the call anyway, so good I got it.
@pghmusician seriously LOL…who in their right minds would say “useless pile of academic acceptances”!!! Ugh, the rest of the normal world of college applicants would kill for that!!! If they only knew…
@MTnewbie1 - That was the hope, but my flashlight espionage revealed the words “must be disappointing” so I am doubt there is a glimmer of hope. Oh well, hopefully they can find someone else to give the very substantial academic scholarship they offered her to. 
And then there were three! Any BSU word today? Still in Muncie Limbo-land.

It really is a lovely school. Great program. Can’t believe it’s not talked about more on here … color me impressed!
D had a good audition and had a great day. She’s trying very hard to not fall in love with this place - I can totally see that.
BUT …
They have a wall w/ all of the Theatre Dept. kids that have accepted from the Class of 2019 w/ their pics. There’s a lot of them. I just don’t know if they’ll have a place for her.
We will see!
But for now … we go home. And then head to North Carolina on Friday!

Another parent of a high school freshman here, chiming in to say I’m rooting for all of you! I’ve read A LOT of CC threads, and it seems things do have a way of working out!
Ball State made calls to Priority Waitlist kids today! D got a call and was glowing the rest of the night.
I’ve been at dinner with friends, and first thing I did when I got home was check in on all my “friends” on CC! Happy for acceptances, rooting for those still waiting! I was with you 2 years ago (wow that seems like a long time ago) and our 9th grader just told us the other day that she “thinks she wants to major in Acting.” I. am. not. sure. I. can. survive. another. audition. year. Hugs, donuts, peanut butter eggs and umbrella drinks to all of you!

And i know its horrible @MTMommaJAA. But we all do it. And how many of you contact the admissions dept. to politely decline admission after you get your artistic redirect? hmmm?
Has anyone else still not heard from BSU? ~X( Literally dying! I still haven’t heard from 9 schools - 7 MT!!!
