Class of 2019 (the journey begins) - Sharing,Venting, Etc

@tmygirl … great - thanks for asking! She’s ASM’ing a student directed show right now I think.

It’s crazy how much happens in a year!

@KaMaMom AWESOME! So true! So much happens in a year!!

Wait until you see how much happens in four!

I can’t even imagine @lojosmo

It is opening night and I am not there…feels so weird. I know it is part of the process :slight_smile:
Looking forward to the closing show tho. We are flying down for that:-)

Do any of you have a current MT student at Montclair? We’re visiting during the open house Sunday and would love to connect with someone…please let me know. TIA!

@Calliene does.

Check out the thread MT School Forums for a big list of CC contacts for many schools :slight_smile:

You forgot me…Molloy/CAP 21, Class of 2018.

@EastchesterMom I copied and pasted the information from the MT School Forums thread (see link above in my post). You are not on the latest updated list there. You should add yourself to it over there. Don’t want to keep updating the list here too. I was just trying to show that member where to find the list.

Done…thanks, @soozievt!

Hey all, I’ve missed you guys! Nice to hear the updates – except for the pneumonia scare! Yikes! But, go UArts for handling it so responsibly. 54 days until Christmas break, but who is counting?

I love when this thread pops up!

@Divamamacita chirp chirp! Is she coming home for T’giving?

I have nothing new to report - except the love is still strong for Nebraska!

How is everyone? I have to say, I’m kinda missing the crazy of this time last year!

I was really surprised by how much I “missed” the BFA journey. While I have not forgotten the tough parts (and there were some darn dark days) when I look back I remember the excitement, and how much fun D and I had together- esp the trips to various schools.

Totally agree–I miss the trips with my DD to the auditions–even though they were super stressful as well! But she skypes frequently, loves her program, and is happy as a lark!

We are headed to Wright State next weekend to see S in a student production (A Very Potter Musical). He’s great about communicating… and loves loves loves his program. He’s working VERY hard. I was thinking that at Halloween last year, we were at Wright for his very first audition. Time flies!

Went to Parent Weekend at Western Michigan this past weekend and got to take another ROAD TRIP with d to see the Henry Ford Museum across the state in Dearborn. What a blast! Another Hampton Inn breakfast and more listening to Siri bark out GPS instructions - it was back to old times from last year - without the inherent Dark Cloud of Audition Destiny hanging over everything.

Gee, I really hated dropping d off at the dorm on Sunday. It was a little better than when I saw her turn and walk away into the dorm after move-in in September, but not much…lost my “man card” once again.

@EmsDad - so glad you got to have that time with your D! Those times spent together are ones to be cherished for sure!

I’m not sure it ever gets easier. Our D is a junior and we just went to see her in a show this past weekend. I still teared up as we left her in the parking lot Sunday morning! Just reminding myself to be grateful she is in a place she loves doing what she loves to do. She is happy. Which makes me smile, even through my tears :slight_smile:

I got very sad after saying goodbye to my son this weekend. He’s super happy and had a great part in a wonderful play and is doing really well, but it’s still hard not seeing him for months and months at a time.

We saw our D this past weekend, too (went up to see her in Spelling Bee in the D-Lab at WSU) - she’s also a Junior, and so happy, but I hate that she’s so far away! @vvnstar and @Jkellynh17 - so hard when they’re far away, and no, it doesn’t get easier! Seems like yesterday we were traveling for auditions - such a fun year and great memories. :’)
