LOL “hanging chad” @Divamacita!

@MTmom2015 Your post about the dance clothes made me laugh! I have two boys and I remember having to be very specific about what to wash when they took a shower. Otherwise they would just stand under the water! Gotta love boys! :))

Michigan also distributes its prescreens amongst the faculty and some are quicker with decisions than others. The year my D applied, one of them fell ill and those in his “stack” did not hear back until much later than most of the others. We were not in that batch, but for those that were, it was a little nerve wracking.
Try not to read anything in to whether you have heard back or not. More often than not, your prescreen is just somewhere “in process” and hasn’t been fully vetted yet. Wishing all of you good news soon!

@Patrice13 -We are still waiting for TXST but Moo Crewers won’t find out from Penn State, Otterbein, OU or TXST until after Moonifieds this weekend.

@addicted2MT We submitted (I think “accidentally”) to Penn State and passed. Now don’t know if we should audition “live” or let the current yes stand. Awkward! ;))

@transmom - LOL! I think you take that yes and run!!! j/k - I would have my kid go to the scheduled appointed time and let them know what happened… No show= not professional Don’t wanna do that…

They must have heard the “hanging chad” comment because we just got the message through Acceptd that she passed the Ithaca prescreen and I was able to get a slot that works with all of the other Unified auditions! Happy dance! There are a TON of open audition slots on the scheduling board, so that tells me that they have not notified many folks. Maybe only 20-30 slots total already booked. Phew. Now I can breathe!

Congrats @Divamacita! I agree, they probably did “hear” you!

Michigan has all of his academic stuff. Oy. Hope nothing has gotten lost.

@addicted2MT :)) We would never no show - it just might be sorta embarassing for the D. I think it may have been one of those that we were supposed to submit at some time in the process, so she just jumped the gun.

@tramsmom - It only shows your D is on the ball! Nothing wrong with that! In fact, I bet they still have her audition and have a nice chat with her!

@MTLegacy my D submitted all on Oct. 15. We heard back from Pace and Penn State right away, Ithaca and Emerson in a few days. Michigan responded on Nov. 12, I think. We are STILL waiting for TSU. Really, no rhyme or reason! BTW @pookiesunshine, my D did not attend Mpulse.

@Patrice13 is Emerson doing prescreens this year?

@GSOMTMom I’m sorry. No, Emerson did not have a pre-screen. I got confused, the other school my D submitted a pre-screen for was Marymount Manhattan.

I have a Texas State question My S passed the ps, He responded via acceptd and he emailed them to set up the audition and they haven’t responded That was a few weeks ago… Anyone else have this?

@Patrice13 Oh okay. I didn’t know that Marymount had a prescreen.

@tmygirl when in doubt… just call the school… so far I’ve only encountered positive people in any of the admission departments…everyones been very helpful…

@tmygirl Even though the results came through Acceptd, my son would get an email from Acceptd to his personal email. He never actually went to the website to see his email (TSU or Elon). So he responded to his personal email and set up his appointment that way. It was immediate.

OK,time to vent. D comes home glowing from what she feels was a very successful audition weekend to a encounter a well-meaning family member who celebrates her enthusiasm, gets the scoop on the school, & then pauses and says, “THAT much tuition for a music/drama/MT (fill in the blank) degree? Why don’t you get a double major in your artsy thing & engineering?” Really? Do you know my child at all? I refrained from asking this well meaning family member if she feels she wasted the $ she spent on her Harvard MBA to end up a stay-at-home-mom. Smh…

All set for TSU Sorry @addicted2MT Ugh!
