Class of 2019 (the journey begins) - Sharing,Venting, Etc

The fact you are doing this @Roro101 without parental assistance is phenomenal! BAL!

BAL @Roro101! Ditto what bisouu said. My S would have NEVER gotten this far last year.

Bravo/a @Roro101! You deserve ^:)^ for that! =D>

@pookiesunshine, you will likely hear back before the academic deadline. We heard in about 2 weeks. Cannot imagine it will take until mid January

Hmmm. @tramsmom‌ – I thought Elon released prescreen results all on one date. I know they did In the fall, maybe it is different for the later dates?

@roro101 I’m in the same boat to you and did all my apps/prescreens myself. Cheers and congrats!!

Kudos, @attheballet and @roro101, for self sufficiency! Hope my S gets there eventually. This morning, he asked, “Where am I auditioning this weekend, again???” At least he’s aware there is an audition
:)

@Divamacita, doubled checked my dates: Submitted 10/15; invite rec’d (via accepted mail) on 10/31 for audition in February. Have no idea why we heard when we did. But there it is.

Hmmm. Interesting. Maybe the 11/3 invites went out early? Curious.

I know the answer to the Elon prescreen notifications! There was one super early deadline for those wanting to audition in the fall. Then there was an “Early Bird” deadline of 10/15, where you want to audition in winter, but they would let you know your results/schedule the audition on 10/31. ALL others, who submitted prescreens AFTER 10/15 will get notified on the same date in January.

The only reason I know this is because we submitted on 10/15, and then I had a question, so I called the department and the girl mentioned-“Well, you made the early bird cut-off
” and she proceeded to explain
I had no idea at the time that we had squeeked in at the last minute of a deadline! We passed, by the way!

Thanks for clearing that up @MTkellbell! We too were unaware of the 10/15 deadline, we were trying to make another deadline and submitted nearly all by the 15th, so looks like we caught some additional luck!

Has anybody heard from Ithaca recently regarding pre-screens?

@jrdirectortommy I submitted my Ithaca pre-screen on 10/16 and heard a yes on 10/31

We submitted Ithaca on 10/15 and STILL waiting! I actually called them today to see if there was a problem, and they said “no problem. We have all of her information. Our goal is for everyone to hear by the end of December”
ummm, I guess we’ll wait a bit more then

I auditioned for Elon on Nov. 14, the second fall audition date. I thought we were supposed to hear back from the department yesterday, Dec. 1st, but now I see that a few people say it is Dec. 15! This still gives me hope! Haha Elon is my top choice! I absolutely love it there and the audition was a great experience! Not one bad thing I could say about the school or the program!

@kellbell and @Jrdirectortommy we also submitted on 10/15 and got an invitation on 10/31. Don’t think anyone has heard anything between 10/31 and todays date.

@tramsmom it makes me think they are “on the fence” about her
would really just like an answer so I can finish scheduling everything!

We didn’t submit to Ithaca until Nov 18th. I did hear they were off last week, so maybe we’ll hear this week.

@MTKellbell, I would not read anything into it at this point. Maybe you “just” missed the cut off or something, (time difference) or maybe they wanted a certain faculty to look at it and he/she’s unavailable. We would be reading tea leaves. Honestly, I’d assume you are doing the audition, and plan accordingly as long as it is reversible. I am using Southwest for ALL flights (even if it means driving in some cases) for that very reason.
