*Just to further explain (and this does not require further comment) because of the number of teenagers on this site, experience with other sites shows that without these rules there tend to be links to rude pictures and other undesirable images, as well as links to garbage sites. Not only because of the teenagers of course, but that tends to increase the problem. If we allow links that are not obviously to trusted sites, we will get a lot of these things. We cannot possibly look at every posting like some sites can, and this way people can report links without having to click on them to see what they are.
I understand this is occasionally inconvenient, but it definitely serves the greater good. Agree, disagree, that’s fine but them’s the rules. Thanks for your understanding.*
