I stole this idea from @WindyCityKid so thank you!
My name is Sahara, I’m turning seventeen in July and I go to a high school lacking in diversity located in an affluent retirement town (typical Florida high school). I have a 3.1 UW GPA, 3.5 W GPA, 1920 SAT, I have not takin the ACT. I hold and officer position in my school’s MCJROTC. I’m very involved and have over 100 community service hours within ROTC. I also was involved in two community service clubs in 9th and 10th grade before I transferreed schools. I used to attend a highly stressful gifted school and while I was attending this school I fell into a deep abyss of depression. I could barely manage to force myself out of bed most days, and my grades suffered greatly. I was hospitalized multiple times and my guidance counselor would be able to document this along with my recovery and resilience. I’m mainly looking at public universities instate as I come from a very economically disadvantaged family (single mother <$30,000/yr.) I want to major in Communications/Broadcast Journalism, or Public Relations or something related to social services. Also want to minor in French. Will have six AP classes when I graduate, majority of classes are honors, one DE class. Right now I’m mainly focusing on narrowing down my college choices list.
