If this helps anyones waiting for Ball State specifically, an email was sent that the “first round of offers have been sent out” and they will be making calls to those on the “tight” waitlist between now and next month. Not sure if the first round of offers means ALL of their spots for their BFA program but… fingers crossed
So recently on The Company FB page a lot of the students have been bashing on College Confidential and I can’t understand why. I find CC very helpful and comforting.
@WhiteRaven1 I’m sure the students just find all of us parents annoying!

What is The Company? I’ve seem it referenced several times…
@KelviVan every year students auditioning create their own private facebook group, last year it was the “troupe” this year I believe it is the company – it if for students only, not parents and is a place for them to share info, etc similar to what we do here…
OH my gosh, I so needed that laugh @Mardeen, I literally laughed out loud!!! I understand exactly what you are saying @Wickersham2365 , would love to incorporate a visit to a school but still waiting on responses. One of you wise women said " a mother is only as happy as her saddest child" so very, very true. Believing for the very best for each of our children!

@mtpassionate99 , if you go to Facebook and search for The Troupe (last years group), you will see The Company (yesterday it was renamed “The Conjuring?”) on the right hand side of the page. It’s for students only and they have to be invited into the group page or the student can request to be a part of the page.
I don’t think they would want a link posted here . It is a private page and they do not want parents on that page. If you are a student – it is easy to find.

Yes, The Company AKA The Conjuring is a FB page for current MT students and also kids going thru the process now. My D is on it and has found it to be a great sounding board - also ALL the kids are in the same boat, so it’s a great support for them all. It is private - not for parents. But she did tell me that they do bash CC!
@mtpassionate99 if your child searches for The Company I feel like it comes up fairly easily on FB. I don’t think my D had too much trouble finding it .
As for losing sleep …I haven’t had a decent nights sleep forever! My hubby however blissfully sleeps with no issues.
@WhiteRaven1 that’s funny about them bashing CC . The other forums have their issues for sure but Lord this one is good for stressed out MT parents ! Otherwise we’d all be batty
I think my d said the kids were making fun of us crazy parents. I don’t think they were bashing CC per say.
A parent told me her students PA boarding school administration told them to stay off CC. I don’t know if statement was said to kid and passed along or said to parent directly.
I’ve had people ask me how can I stand it because the have “heard” this or that when I try to recommend CC. I tell them that just like social media, it will be exactly what you make it. Ultimately, I think lots of people miss out on great knowledge due to preconceived ideas.
You have to filter CC and take from it what you can and use it as a support system and knowledge resource.
