Thanks @mtmamma2020, I was wondering if that was an option and if so how it worked at Ball St. The issue we have is my D wanted a BFA MT last summer when we were applying, then in January decided she would rather go straight acting, BFA or BA…many of the schools she auditioned for do not look at acting if you audition for MT, thankfully some of them do however. Now we just wait and see what happens I suppose. Never a dull moment!
No mail. >:P
Not sure if this is helpful, but I know of a girl accepted to Cal Arts, in case anyone is tallying the numbers accepted.
Is anyone else still waiting on CCM? I know some admitances went out, but our portal hasn’t updated since November.
@KelviVan How did your D hear from WMU? Congrats. My D is waiting on Acting. They told her after 3/17. Just curious of how MT contacted her – email, snail mail, phone? Thanks.
@KelviVan we are still waiting on CCM. S is still on hold. We emailed and were told they are still working their way thru audition videos.
So does Ball State always redirect? Or are some people rejected?
@Wickersham2365 My D got a really great e-mail from them (Western Michigan) with her acceptance and a ton of information about the program and links to videos and interviews.
Does anyone know how Ball State notifies acceptances? Email, phone, snail mail?
@mtpassionate99 Well I’ve heard that acceptances are called. We were re-directed to BA theatre option and received an email. Not sure what they do with rejections or waitlists. Nothing in the mail yet to confirm.
When does CMU start notifying and how? Haven’t heard a peep yet… fingers crossed!
From what I’ve heard, they make calls next week @bwaybelter
CMU notifities everyone for the entire school on the same day via the portal. It is usually the end of march on a Friday at midnight that the portal changes. The date will be on website or they send emails about it.
If accepted I hear phone calls go out just before that along with the big acceptance package.
I copied this from the last posting on the notification thread from 2016. This is NOT a guarantee but gives you an idea of when to expect the earliest notifications and how – Carnegie is traditionally one of the later ones, and they call:

UGH!! the stress of waiting is so much. My happy, go lucky S is quiet and slightly depressed. I am running out of pep talks…or at least he is tired of listening to them.
Waiting, waiting, waaaaaiiiiiittttting! Waiting on the inbox, the mailman, the telephone, the giraffe…sigh 8-}
My husband works from home and he is even in on the mailman stalking game. Our MM takes a break at the end of our street before he does our side of the street and it makes my husband nuts! @twomonkeysnme it really is getting hard to be the cheerleader for our D when the waiting is getting to us as well. Would love to make spring break plans to visit one of her schools but I don’t want to jinx her by scheduling anything before she hears back in a couple of weeks. We know it will all work out but boy this is tough!
@Mardeen the giraffe, lol… :))
