Class of 2021 (sharing, venting, etc)

@momtojoss the long and winding road is a solo, and then she has parts in a couple others… she is doing great on her dialect - she didn’t break it once!! Kids are having fun - they are a great group with lots of good chemistry.

@marg928 my D was also waitlisted at Chapman. It’s not her top choice but something she would strongly consider despite the odd audition. At least waitlist means they are still in the running. Luckily they both have some great options already!

Biggest disappointment for me with Chapman is that I understand they they give good merit money. So far the two other California schools that accepted her gave her very little. So far Cornish gave her the most so it’s definitely worth visiting.

I believe Michigan portals will be updated today - could be wrong but it was on a Friday about this time last year. Good luck!

They already were! @mtmamma2020

Sending good vibes to all of you and hopes for wonderful acceptances! My d is a junior, so we’re not in this year’s cycle, but I’m on the edge of my seat reading this thread - I don’t even know all of you, but I am SO emotionally invested in your journeys! The tension is unbearable! Fingers crossed that everyone lands in the perfect place for them!!!

Way to go @EIS0301 !!!

@FourFoxes we are waiting for that too next friday!

No mail.

So sorry @momtojoss!

Thank you!!! I know we are all sick of waiting…and waiting…and waiting!

D is waiting for artistic acceptances (hopefully) from 5 schools. Pace is her #1. I’m hoping for everyone’s sanity that she hears positive news today. I feel everyone’s pain here about the waiting. Between college and April the Giraffe, I can’t accomplish anything. Fingers/toes/everything crossed for all of our kids!

I just wasn’t prepared for the wait. Had no idea that what they told us at visits would change. Thought we would be all done by now.

So far for me, all of the info sessions I’ve been to at auditions have been at least 1 week later than they said they would be for sending out decisions if that appeases any stress.

.

Had I known my D was applying at the Ivy League of Musical Theatre schools, I would have insisted on some more realistic choices. Can someone tell me other great MT schools out there that she has a better odds at getting into. I’m not a theatre person so I’m playing catch up. We also live in So Cal and just don’t know what else is out there. Thanks.

No mail here either @momtojoss

No mail here either @momtojoss

So Frustrating but glad I am not the only one!!

@DramaMama603 Sending good vibes to you and hope sanity is saved!
